ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

I'm thinking of getting either the 48", 4 bulb 54w or the 48", 8 bulb 54w fixture for my 125 gal tank (48x30x21) and planning on using a winch to raise and lower the fixture over my tank. Can anyone tell me what these fixtures weigh? The winch I'm looking at can handle fixtures up to 50 lbs.

My 8x24w LED Powermodule weighs around 40lbs!!!

The 8x54w LED PM weighs around 65lbs at least.I would get a winch fixture that can handle a lot more weight to be on the safe side.

i tried some years ago..and definitely appears underpowered.. i don't like for sps..in a tank with lps maybe are better.

now i'm using FAUNA MARIN ultra royal blue that have more 420 nm then others blue tubes..and corals are perfectly irradiated. also colors are better.. using 5 FM and 3 Blue+

Yup, I've read good reports of the FM T5 tubes...but they arent readily available in the UK and I have no idea about cost...ATI costs less than KZ T5 tubes in the UK and are available most retailers.

Here is a pic that shows the weight of the fixtures , this was sent to me by an online store in Canada that sells the fixtures.

Thank you sahin and wheelman76, looks like these fixtures will be too heavy for the winch I was looking at (Sun Winch). I'll have to look for something else. Thanks guys.

Quick setting question

Quick setting question

I'm new owner of ati hybrid just got them yesterday and have question about setting if go to them to linecolors I have them uncheck is it the way should be? Also I used to run radions g2 before should I go 60% on white with this fixture?thank you ..

I use combo with Actinc too for my sps:

ATI Blue+
ATI Actinic
ATI AquaBlueSecial
ATI Blue+
---LED---
ATI Blue+
ATI AquaBlueSpecial
ATI Actinic
ATI Blue+

LED's set up to RB - 100%, B and W - 70%, red to 10%

Plenty sunny full spectrum look for me :)

Your T5 combo is almost same as mine, but I run a Coral+ in place of one of the Blue+ and have my white LED lower as a result.

Sorry I dont understand the first part of your question, but in relation to the 2nd part, absolutely dont run the fixture at 100%. With T5 and LED, the PAR from these units is crazy all the way down to even the sand bed.

Hi Sahin!
I always want add to my old ATI 8"24 SunPower fixture a pair of actinic, but always worrying about loosing in PAR:)
Now, when i have LEDs on my Hybrid, I can do this, without total PAR loosing and receive full spectrum light.
That was my plan:)

in you open ati program and go settings there is to boxes uncheck Grid, and linecolors all the boxes are unchecked should i have pick any colors?(sorry can't provide any pictures at this moment )

Mine are all checked. These setting do not affect the light profile, but are visual aids to help you setup the light profile and make it easy to differentiate different LED clusters and T5 channels.

Hi all. I got my 8 t5 hybred. I am burning in the bulbs right now. I should be able to place the light tonight. I am running the following bulb selection. Whats recommended for the leds? I am afraid to run the mat 100% How many hours are you running your t5 channels at?

Front to back
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+
ATI Blue +
ATI Coral+
---LED---
ATI Blue+
ATI Coral+
ATI Blue+
ATI Blue+ I am considering a Coral+ also in this spot.

Thanks :)

Once acclimatised you can run your light as follows depending on tank size, layout and coral focus (ie SPS dominated etc):

T5's run both channels at 100% for around 7 hours a day. With 30mins to 1 hour either side for ramping up.

LED's: At peak time
RB: 100%
B: 50%
W:35%
R: 10%

Run them also around 7 hours with ramping up either side, concentrating on Royal Blue towards the evening etc.

If your rockwork is that like a minimal look with lots of open sandbed, you can run the outer T5 banks for a bit less time, but if you are utilising the main parts of tank with wall to wall corals then run the inner and outer T5's same amount of time.

This is just a brief guide to give you an idea...each tank is different and your corals may even bleach with 7 hours of full light...so the most important thing is to watch your corals and adjust a little per week.

HTH. :)

If i run only 7 hours of full light my tank will brown in few days.. I use minimum 10 hours of full light ..now i'm pushing up color and brightness and using 12 h.. If corals bleach with more light time the problems are others not the light.. Trust me..
