ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

Seems like the outer 4 bulbs don't shine as bright as the inner 4. Not sure if it's my eyes or the lamp. I had the same outer 4 bulbs in my old 4 bulb T5 unit and they were bright. These bulbs are 2 ATI Blue+, 1 ATI Purple and 1 Giessmann Actinic Blue. What could be the reason for this? Looked in the software and the bulbs are set at 100% power. The inner 4 bulbs are the growth bulbs so they should be bright.

Also, when all 8 bulbs are on the outer 4 bulbs are brighter than when just the outer 4 bulbs are on.

Just get someone else to confirm that what you are seeing is definitely the case. Not seen this before and I have the 8 tube version. After that contact ATI USA.

I use pliers to turn the bulbs only way I can fo it with my fat Fred Flintstone fingers!

can someone with 60 inch powermodule give me measurement were hanging cables mount center to center. My new light will be here tomorrow just getting ready to hang it when it arives

I ran the day cycle to see what happens and as soon as the bulb switched from the 4 bulb to 8 bulb the initial 4 bulbs got brighter. Same thing happened in reverse at end of cycle when the 8 went to 4. Not sure why it's doing that. Almost seems like those 4 bulbs get dimmed.

Contact ATI USA. Take a video recording if its possible to show the issue on video. Hope you get it sorted.

Is it possible for you to share your program with me and I run it to see if the issue occurs? I did record it and will forward to ATI. In fact I even reversed the lights inner/outer and same problem. Want to make sure I have not programmed it wrong. Can't think why since T5 set to 100% with no ramp up.

Sure, no problem, PM sent. Also send me your current profile and I will see if there is anything obvious.

Sent you email.

Recieved. Checked your light profile and there isnt anything wrong with it. Ran the light cycle on my unit and couldnt replicate the issue you are describing. There is either a bug in the firmware installed on your unit, or there is an actual hardware fault. Sorry dude, I think this is something your retailer or ATI USA need to help you with.

Thanks for your help. I agree it's a hardware problem. Updated firmware to 1.04 (was on 1.02) so it can't be that. Also reset lamp to default. Reloaded the program and the same problem when only 4 T5s are on. Contacted ATI and am in communication with them. Not sure what they can do other than replace the light. It's only 2 weeks old!

So effectively, you are using:

3 x Blue tubes
4 x White tubes
1x Pink tube

If you wanted to utilise a couple of Actinic tubes I would use the following tubes (whilst keeping as many of your current tubes as possible):

Front:
KZ Blue
KZ NG
ATI Actinic
ATI C+
---LED--- = Set LED channels at MAX Intensity with the following RB=255, Blue=150, White=125-140 (adjust to your liking) and Red if you want to use Red=15
KZ Blue
Giessman Lagoon blue
ATI Actinic
KZ NG

I would run all 8 tubes together for 6-7 hours and use Royal Blue and atiny amount of blue and white for sun down sun up etc.

That will be an all round decent amount of light. Its not just the perceived brightness that you see in the tank...as long as one doesnt go crazy and use 7 blue tubes and 1 white tube in the middle for example, as long as you use a balanced combo, end of the day you will ONLY have 8 tubes in terms of coverage...so you are not really widening your light coverage...

Only a suggestion, FWIW your current tube combo is pretty good in any event.

Havent tried. And unlikely to try. Reason being is that ATI tubes are cheapest and widely available and proven. I do like KZ SuperBlue but they are priced a bit more.

Went with your advice and install 2 Super Actinics tubes. For how long you thik i should run LEDs at full intencity?
A little dimmer but i like the color combo so far, hope my corals do the same:)

I got my new 60" powermodule hung up and fired up looks great so far much different than my radion g3s. I started with a program that I got from sahin on here thank again. I would like to see some other programs you guys use just looking to compare and see some different options until I get use to programing this thing.

Ok, question. Tank set up 10/2014. I have had my 24 inch 8 bulb for a few months, and I have slow coral bleaching/pastel. I started at like 65%, and am now backing off to 45%, and feeding my tank twice a day. No noticeable improvement. Coral growth is very slow. Some sps look fine, others less so.
Parameters are stable, and always within reason. 35ppm, 0 nitrates, phosphate detectable, but low enough I rarely clean glass, kh9, Ca 440, MG high at like 1500. I don't run carbon or GFO on this tank, just a fuge w loads of pods, and all top off is kalk. I have also noticed some zoas are growing very small new polyps, like lots of small ones that don't get big. Stylos and birds nests look fine, some acro frags look good, millies are poor to fair. Some stn at bases, others encrusting.
So here is the question.
Is this light so powerful I am wiping out these corals from too much light (8-10 inches above water)
Am I not feeding enough? (5 fish) clown, diamond goby, tail spot blennie, mandarin(eats brine), and tomini.
50 gal cube. I run lights 6 and 8 hours leds never above 30%,
Bulbs b+,c+,actinic,b+,LED,c+,FP,C+,B+.
Go!!!
Open to any thoughts or ideas.

Sent you email. Can you please share your program file with me so I can see if problem occurs with that too. Called ATI and they claim its a programming issue. They sent me a modified program and now the 4 lamps go dim even before the other 4 turn off. But they still dim. Strange!

I will send you my light profile within 3 hours. I still think it might be a bug in your fixtures firmware. But we will see.

Sent you my light profile. I forgot how many CLUSTERS you have...MAKE SURE you amend the light profile to have the same number of LED CLUSTERS on your fixture!

Only then upload to your controller/lamp.
