It can be done but I'm not sure you will have the time or patience to work through a very complex process using the buttons. It's just not easy. Why not get Parallels and run Windows on your Mac? I hope ATI begins to take us Mac users seriously and comes out with a software we can use.is it possible to set up basic schedules just via the controller? I.e with no computer interface / connection whatsoever?
IMO 8 bulbs gives you more options on T5 combos
This is my current combo and it's got a really nice white/bright look at midday and bluer look before and after that.guys,
looking for some imput.
guys,
looking for some imput. Heres my current bulb combo for my 60" 80w x 8 x 4LED's
B+
C+
B+
Actinic
LEDS's
Actinic
Purp+
C+
B+
Feeling like the color is a little washed out and even with playing with the LED's I cant get the look I want. The color is a little blue but mostly white and like I said just looks washed out. I guess im looking for a more 20k look but this is an SPS dom. tank with some LPS and zoas. Anyone have any suggestions to make it look appealing as well as get good growth rates for sps. Thanks
That combo with a bit of Royal Blue from the LED's is around 20K.
The problem with "K" setting is that its all subjective. You can try:
3xC+
5xB+
With LED's:
RB-255
B-140
W-100
or
3xC+
3xB+
2xActinic
With LED's:
RB-255
B-155
W-95
Thanks for the imput Sahin and Bucfan. So I ordered 2 more B+ bulbs today im thinking of swapping out one of the actinic and the Purp+. Itll look like this:
B+
C+

LEDS's
Actinic

Sahin,
any ideas on where I should set the LED points with this setup?
With the B+ and Actinic you have Green/Blue/Purple/Violet end of the spectrum pretty much covered. With just two C+ the tank might be a little darker and you may find the non fluorescent colours suffer a little. So, I suggest you setup the LED's as:
RB:255
B:115
W:140
R:20
With those settings and LED intensity at 100%, the white channel will be running at around 55%. So increase it slowly. If you find it's not BLUE enough for your liking, increase the BLUE channel. If its too much light, cut back on the hours or light the light up a couple of inches OR reduce the white channel a little. Most people generally run the White channel around 40-45% peak time. But I know some US retailers run their white channel at 100% and have great colour in the acros.
my new tubes kombi..:bounce3:
