ATI Powermodule Hybrid Club

I'm now having another problem with my hybrid powermodule that appeared overnight. Instead of switching off like it is supposed to, Channel 2 of my T5s switch to a dim mode instead (no idea how many %, but it's dimmer than the usual 100%). No issues with Channel 1.

The weird part is that when I connect the ATI software via my laptop and run the demo mode of my program, it works fine and the T5s all switch off when they're supposed to. But once demo mode ends, Channel 2 switches back to dim mode again.

I've tried the following and they don't work:

1. Disconnect and reconnect power
2. Reloading the program into the controller from laptop
3. Changing the time to 1 minute before Channel 2 is supposed to switch off and letting the time tick over (once I change the time, Channel 2 fires back up to 100%, but when it ticks over it switched to dim light instead of switching off)

I'm quite puzzled what is going on - when in demo mode it works perfectly but once switched to "live" mode it doesn't work. Both are running off the same program!

My program is as follows:

2pm - 4pm:
- LEDs fade in from 0% to 30%
4pm - 10pm:
- LEDs maintain at 30%
- T5 Channel 1 switches on at 100%
6pm - 8pm:
- T5 Channel 2 switches on at 100%
10pm - 12mn:
- LEDs fade out from 30% to 5%
12mn - 2am:
- LED moonlights@5%
2am - 2pm
- Everything is off

the t5 channels my hybrid can no longer be independently dimmer. either a software bug, or a defect of the control unit. :headwalls:

in January comes my Giesemann dimtec t5 and I'm finally going on this ATI nightmare !! :thumbdown

Hello :) The fans in my 8×54W+ 3×75W are very loud. IT seems that they are working in max speed. I have this problem for 3-4month. Before it was very quite. In my opinion it's a problem with the control device of the fans. Do have any idea what to do?

Hi Sever,
You need to change hybrid lamp for another one ;-)

Check this out. my 60" Powermodule with BML added to it. I think it looks great. You need a flat bracket. I got one from reefbrites but you can use any flat bracket that can be found at Lowes or Home Depot near the "L" brackets. I screwed that it into the fixture using screws that came from the ATI fixture and holes that are already there. I just took out one of the many screws which hold the fixture together and put it right back except that it now holds the bracket to the fixture as well. Then and L bracket mounted to the BML strip again using screws and nuts that came with the BML strip this time. Then a screw and nut from the BML to the Reefbrite bracket. I got the screw, nut and L bracket from home depot. Check it out!

has anyone had trouble with the USB connection? I have had the 48" 4 bulb model for about 2 weeks now. Today I went to update my programming and when I connect the fixture through my USB the blue dots do not light up in the ATI software. The port is working so I know its not the computer. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

Thanks clownsrcoo. I contacted ati yesterday so I'm hoping a quick trouble shoot session today will reveal a simple quick fix like that.

I just mounted my 48" Powermodule Hybrid LED and now I realize that the cable is not long enough to be routed from the back side of my tank to the electronics chamber.

Do they make an "extension cord" for the light plug? Worst case, I'll have to mount my ATI box on the wall on the right side of the tank.

Would you share with us the light hanger you are using for your fixture over a rimless tank?
Thanks in advance

Is there supposed to be a user manual? I didn't see one in the box for either unit I bought (two 3-footers), nor do I find one online. Am I supposed to figure it out just by playing around with the lighting software?
