Back by popular demand: SCMAS/Marine Depot "Scratch n Dent" Sale on 6/28/08 (Part 2)

Oh, and bring a bag or something. I had way too many goodies to carry around with me while browsing. ;)

As I said, I am in no way bashing here. That shoule be evident by the fact that I'm going back again tomorrow.

Hey Guys,

Just a quick note that most of these items are discounted for a reason. Whether is returned product, used, broken, or simply discontinued. This should be understood and expected that everything in that warehouse not a guaranteed "gem". In terms of prices....people who are there do not work for marinedepot in any shape or form and are simply volunteers for the club. This is an event designed to benefit fellow reefers and the club. We should all be appreciative that we are getting good deals and keeping this hobby alive.

Like most have mentioned. Before purchasing anything, inspect, review, and always ask questions. Cant guarantee volunteers to know the answers but these are only suggestions. Like XTM mentioned...Know your prices and try to know your product. In the end we can all benefit.

Big ups to Marinedepot and SCMAS

I think it was not clear that some of the volunteers, my self included were giving the retail price for you to calculate 40% off of as we did not have a price list showing the discount prices or calculators. It is easy to figure pretty close. 10% times 4 will give you the prices for tomorrow. There ware probably another 30 MH bulbs all tested and added today. Not to mention lots more stuff!
There must be 25 skimmers still available, some virtually new and some clearly damaged.

I wasn't trying to bash either.. In fact, I wish you guys would do this every weekend! :D I just wanted to give the guys who didn't go a heads up... I will be there tomorrow... I need some mh bulbs! :D and... well lot's off stuff...

Keep it coming Marinedepot and SCMAS! :D

I know there are at least 2 tunze skimmers. Several pumps are on the list also. There is also a tunze level controller There must be close to 50 skimmers.

I know this is a weird question but, how do you enter the parking lot?
When I'm on Gene Autry, Marine Depot is on my left.
The entry to the lot is further than where the middle divider ends. Do all of you drive on the wrong side of the street to make that left turn into the lot?

I do not know if there are any 660s. There are several Ice cap ballasts at least one was 250 W MH. There are at least five 48 inch T5s and several other sizes.

There is a tun of stuff. Around 50 skimmers, from little nano skimmers to monsters for 400 gallon+ tanks. Probably just as many light fixtures, may be more. CA reactors, sumps, heaters, chillers, over flow boxes, pumps of all sorts Sizes to fine nano sized tanks to swimming pool sized. I know of 6 pumps that were added this week that were returned because they were not working. All that was wrong is they had calcium build up in them. They were disassembled and cleaned with EZ-Clean and work like new now. All at unbeatable low prices.

Parking
First off the sale is at the 1200 building which is 2 doors down. You can park in the 1300 building lot or drive through the 1200 parking lot for more parking on the street behind. To get to Marine Depot with out driving on the wrong side of the street you go to the left of the FRWY on ramp then turn left under the FRWY and then left again back on to Gene Autry Way. There is also a big parking lot on the right opposite where you turn on to Gene Autry Way.

Can I have more detailed directions taking the 57 South from Fullerton? The directions on Mapquest forces me to drive on the wrong side of the street!
LOL!

I drive on the wrong side of the street also lol.

Greg PM sent

I hop the curb & drive along the sidewalk.............but I dont recommend that unless you have a truck

yeah I tried that on my motorcycle and it didn't work out to well... :D j/k That road is DEAD... especially on Saturday... So you will be ok driving on the wrong side of the road for 50 feet... But I take no responsibility so drive at your own risks :D

Hey yellowslayer you gonna be there? I can bring your pink mille... and if so can you bring the duncans? Thanks bro!

Directions It has been a long day! To get to Marine Depot without driving on the wrong side of the street, you go to the right of the FRWY on ramp, then turn left under the FRWY and then left again back onto Gene Autry Way.

It is really simple. In essence you will be making a U turn under the FRWY on ramp.

Sorry, I had left where it should have been right.
