Bean's 300 Gallon AGE Build

I am intrigued by this yeast dosing... Having just plumbed a new frag tank into my display with lots of media and plastic baskets, I wound up with a hell of a diatom outbreak. Went and got a little yeast just in case it may help..

I think that I would put up with that type of ridicule to have a buddy QT fish for me....

haha its all in good fun. he dishes out his fair share.

I just texted you. I got the Fleishmanns Rapid Rise at the super market. 1/4 teaspoon. I only added it the one time... was going to do it every other day for a week but noticed improvement so I didn't continue. I may add one more 1/4 teaspoon tonight and see what happens. I won't feed the fish tonight, they'll just have some yeast for dinner.

Awesome info, thanks cody. Figured it may be easier to reply here, I know you're busy making that goni money :D

Nice! It's a great light. I wish I could dim mine just a little. I'm getting some scum on the top of the water line in the fuge and lots of funk at the bottom. I'm going to increase the flow to the fuge but I'm going to shop vac it before I do.

Cody, Tank is looking great. It looks like you are about ready to add some coral. Your patience is starting to pay off.

BTW...that bakers yeast is good stuff. I was talking to Steve G about it and he feeds this exclusively to his fish.

I've got a few zoas and a goni. Now that the sludge is gone they are opening up nicely. It got super thick for a couple months.

Oh btw the filter cups with the filter floss make the tank much quieter! No more water dripping noise.
