beer thread

I think Ommegang Abbey Ale is one of my favorites right now. It's a very nice Belgian style beer that's brewed in Cooperstown NY.

i will be brewing St James Porter this week . turned out great last time ...

This time I am thinking about adding rye to the recipe kinda of a tweek..

Have to give props to bigdoug for the Sam's Latitude 48 IPA. Hoppy excellence. Trying it tonight. GREAT recommendation!

Sierra Nevada Harvest..

With the wax top.

Gotta try one as one of the guys at work was raving after he spent $8.99 on an bomber of it. All organic ingredients from their properties, so it has a bit more to it than their other "Harvest" beers.

Anyone have it yet?

what's going on?

One day Sam Adams Octoberfest is available almost everywhere and today it's gone!

The distributor must have taken back the Octoberfest when it set out Sam's 'Winter Lager'. Does anybody know if this is the case?

If so..... what do they do with all of the leftover Sam Octoberfest?

I'm really bummed right now. Winter Lager is okay but it's definitely not Octoberfest.

It's at Rite Aid in Brighton, off E. Henrietta Rd by MCC. They got a few in the cooler case.

Just had it the other night. It was really good, but a bit expensive for the amount, at least where I got it from. :smurf:

Gary, I just found a hidden cashe of it at a local Wegmans. You coming to the swap? I spose I could be convinced to horde.

thanks for the offer, cully- but I wasn't planning on coming to the swap.
I've heard rumours of SA Octoberfest still being available at certain places in Rochester right now although I haven't seen any.
Thanks for the tip, naprest.

I'm going to jump in with anything made by Victory. They're one of the best in my opinion, I especially like Storm King.

Middle Ages Beast Bitter -nuff said

FAT TIRE!!! When are they going to distribute this excellent ale this side of the Mississippi?

For cheap beer I like Bud Light. I used to drink Blue Light but Bud is just much much better.

For anyone that hasn't tried Lindemans Frambiose go out and get a bottle. Certain Wegmans have it in their back cooler cold, most have it warm on the shelf in the imports. It's a Belgian lager which they brew then add add so many fresh raspberries that it ferments a second time. Then filtered and bottled. It's not very sweet and damn is it good.
