Sierra Nevada special edition for 2011, Hoptimum. A teeny Tad bit sweet which I don't favor, but overall super Hoppy delightful.

I really am such a Sierra Homer, but proud of it. Solid brewery all around!

I just picked a couple of these the other night. I think I'm going to try one tonight. I'm pretty excited for it!

Enjoying a DFH 60 IPA as I type this. There's still a few cases of Sierra Nevada Celebration left at Beers of the World on E. Henrietta Rd. as of this afternoon. (And yes, you can actually buy it by the case.)

I was tempted, but have 20 gallons of homebrew kegged and couldn't justify the purchase. I'm sure I'll regret it. :(

you must have read my mind, Scott.

Earlier today I was on BOTW's website trying to locate a case of Celebration. You've just saved me a bunch of phone calls! THANK YOU! :)

Anyone try Dogfish Head India Brown Ale?

My wife picked me up a sixer from Wegmans today. It tastes a lot like a porter to me.

I'm digging it, as it's extremely drinkable. You need to be careful with these though, at 7.2%. They'll sneak up on you.

Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada

my new favorite brewery.
Everything I've sampled from them is fantastic HOWEVER......

I wish I'd purchased Torpedo instead of Glissade.
I really need more Celebration 2010 before it's all gone :sad1:

New beer absolutely LOVE IT. called bananna bread beer. 57 bucks a case though at beer of the world.. stuff is unique and not in a gimmicky way.

So I had The 60 Min IPA from dogfish head for the first time the other night and was wondering how much better is the 90 min? and the 120 min?

IMO they don't get tastier as the number goes up Vince. The 90 is tasty, but very strong, it starts to veer away from a traditional hoppy IPA IMO. The 120 is downright UN-drinkable. It takes on the form of a liquor. So strong I only had 6 ounces and it took me like 20 minutes to CHEW through it. It does get you to where you're goin' in a hurry though. Gasoline.

Dam I was hoping they would get better. yea I was looking at the 120 18%. I am goin to try it tho, maybe this weekend. So CHEWing is that cause it is so hoppy? I do like very hoppy beers but if the alcohol isn't smooth and it tastes like gas i'm sure I won't be satisfied so i'll grab some 90 to try it too.

I LOVE hops. One of my "Mark You're a Special Guy" beers is Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. My wife tasted it, spit it out and said, "It tastes like weed!". So I'm with ya on the hops.

I forgot to mention, I like their 60 minute for sure. The 120 doesn't taste like beer to me. It really was like a beer flavored liquor. That hoppy bite we all seem to crave was not present to my recollection, which is foggy at best.

I shared the 12 oz bottle with Tim from ABC who is another degenerate beer lover like all of us. We literally choked it down. Each sip followed by a "Holy $#%^". Really was not an enjoyable experience for me. But I can say I tried it. I'm guessing you'll just have to find out for youself......

Vince, go back to post #210 on page 9. Read through that, and next few posts. Those were my fresher reactions to the Dogfish beers.
