There was a guy on RC about 5 or 6 yrs back, he had one for 13yrs at the time..... as they grow they look nothing like your pics though - to be honest they are quite ugly when big - its a pinnatus batfish I believe?

Supposedly they are pretty diccult to keep - but the guy I speak of had his in with a moorish idol that he had for over 7yrs if memory serves....... amoung other fish.

the trigger is probably about 5" long. He tends to not be agressive at all. He is pretty cool. In the first pic I caught him and the eel touching lips!!! I tried to get a pic of it but he swam away everytime. The only way I got that pic was hiding behind a chair.

isn't it funny how the fish recognise camera's. In the past I could put my face up to the glass and fish would swim up to it..... but produce a camera......gone!

haha i love atlantis, i cant wait to go back, i wish i could have tanks that big, since they use the sun and fresh ocean water they should just start putting coral in all of their aquariums

Yea, we had a great time in Atlantis. Just didnt want to show my lil tank after seeing some of the others. :eek2: Here is a quick shot I took approx 5 minutes ago....

Equipment:

Tank is a 55g acrylic, 36"w 15"d 24"t made by TruVu

plumbing is a single 2" overflow with 1100gph return and SEIO 620 in tank.

300w titanium heater and a jumbo skimmer (for this tank) Reef Octopus NW200 (8" wide chamber, 25" tall) in a 20g sump.

The stand was custom built 36" tall with bigtime front access.

Lighting currently is a 3' coralife pc, 192w.


oh, and there are a bunch of damsels in their for playthings for the fishes......... :strooper:
