Best P&S waterproof camera??

Anyone have any experience with waterproof P&S cameras?? I will be going to Hawaii for my honeymoon in October and would like to get a decent waterproof camera. I've been looking at the Canon D10, Olympus Tough 8000 and the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1G. Anyone own one of these or even a different brand and care to comment on the image quality, ease of use, etc.???

When my wife and I went on our honeymoon we bought the Fuji underwater disposable cameras. I think they are like 14.00 at Walmart. They took real good photos....

Be sure you define water proof vs. water resistant.

I use old school 35mm underwater photo equipment - Nikonos V with strobes and 15mm lens.

Go with the disposable unless you want to spend some capitolies.

I thought about that, but when we went to Florida I we bought some and I wasn't impressed with the quality. Plus I figure this could make for a nice wedding gift!!

The ones I listed are waterproof. A couple of them up to 30ft. I definitely made sure they weren't just water resistant. Plus with the disposables you are limited on the number of pics. This will be a once in a lifetime trip so I plan on taking tons of pictures!!

The trick with underwater photography is to add light to the shot. Water filters out light soooo good that most pictures taken without a supplemented flash will look washed out and blue. If one of your options has a good flash, keep that in mind.

i got a olympus thats is water proof shock proof and freeze proof , its a great p&s camera think there like 350 well worth it imo got ours a circuit city about 5 years ago then we bought the wifes bro one last year he loves it too
