I had an MP10 but the aquarium was only about 3 feet from my head when I was sitting on the couch. It wasn't THAT loud but the constant changes in pitch drove me nuts and I sold it. They definitely move water but I went back to the 425 koralias and have been satisfied if not overjoyed.
The nano koralias are super quiet and super small (egg sized). Plus the magnet suction cups are amazing. And not $250...
I have a koralia 425 and an aqueon 500 in a 20g long (30") and it makes a good amount of flow. The 500 is easily twice the size of the little koralia.
I had a mp10 on a 20 long and it was awesome the noise I didn't even notice I had 2 425 on there before that and they worked great but I liked the mp10 better
I just ordered 2 750's for my 36g corner bowfront
2 550's for my 29g tanks and a 425 or my 20long.
With the aqua clear powerheads I already have I should be fine.
Someday I'll get a mp10 and mp40 but I spent less than 1/3rd the amount of a mp10 for all these and they will give good low to multiple tanks.
