I waited and waited to find a blue carpet anemone and finally my LFS brought one in. I have had the anemone since last Tueday and sometimes it looks like it is thriving and others it looks like is struggling.
It will swell up and look perfect, then poof, it is gaping, shrunken with brown stringy stuff coming out. It has been eating and it regurgitates it's food. Some days it does this process one time, sometimes twice.
I did have clowns in the tank which were beating the crud out of the anemone, but I have since removed those. Saturday my female saddleback clown ripped a piece of food from the mouth of the anemone. Ever since then the anemone has been eating slow.
The water chemistry is perfectly fine...I don't know what else to do. Has anyone experienced this sort of behavior?? I know some have with terrible consequence, but is there any hope at this point for this guy? If so does anyone have suggestions for me...if any info is needed I will hapilly provide it as I am truly bummed out this anemone hasn't pulled through and acclimated how I had hope.
