blueline angel facial patterning??

So, upon looking at my blueline today, I noticed his facial patterning seems to be changing a bit, as he grows. In the past, he has had a more "typical" horizontal barring, but when looking today, he is "netting" a bit. Ive also noticed a lot more stippling and dotting on his caudal penduncle Has anyone else noticed this, or have any input?

While I don't have near the experiance you have or have any first hand experiance with Bluelines, it seems like all the pictures I've seen of large Bluelines have the "netting" on their face, while all of the smaller ones have the more typical horizontal striping with a bit of "netting" on the face.

I know this might seem wierd to you, but it seems kind of funny (for lack of a better word) to me, that I'm giving you my suggestion on fish when you are one of the guys I look up to on here and hope to meet one day, being that I'm a 16 year old guy.

I've a 5-5.5" BL that only has the 'netting' on one side.

How big is it?

Mine came in at 8" and is now 9". Face does have netting and the dotting on his caudal penduncle is present.

Sorry, I dont have an early pic that shows his face well, but he looked just like flameangel88's smaller one.

Hes only currently about 5-5.5". I guess it is a normal transition, then. Very interesting.

Nice fish guys, seems pretty normal to me as they grow up.... Also Jeremy what happened to the nice pics? You had a nice run of nice pics on your update of the blueface, but now it seems your back to your old ways?!?!

Looks pretty normal to me. Maybe a little more netting than others. Heres my 4.5" with minimal netting.

Hey jmaneyapanda. I noticed your Blue Line is in a reeftank. Have you had any trouble with him in there with your corals. I'm looking to get none of these larger angels, and I'm wondering wich one I would have the best chance with as far as not messing with any of my corals.

Feed them well and there will be no real issues. Some corals arent feasible though.
