Booyah's Picasso Clownfish

Wanted to share some pictures of my Grade A picasso clownfish purchased from Booyah (aka "kerusso316" on the boards) in Aldonquin, IL roughly a month ago. He had a beautiful setup and some incredible fish. Definitely worth a look if your in the Chicago area-- and worth a PM if you're not.

Here they are at a couple of months old:

And the classic, "what's that dark thing in your hand? you should be feeding me right now"

Also, here's a few video of the clownfish. Please forgive the bad quality and occasional red hair algae:

Also, he's got some amazing onyx clowns if picassos don't fit the bill. Check out this link for more pictures of those: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1525244

Not grade A Picasso's. Grade A's from most breeders, even ORA have both sides connecting with "strange patterns". Both sides on these look like rounded, wide, white bands.

These look to be from ORA genes mixed with a non Picasso clown.

Wow tough critics today. Each breeder have different grading standards. The three "Picasso" breeders im aware of all have a little different standards.

Nice fish for sure.

Agree, between different breeders, and picasso/snowcasso/snowflakes and mixes it's kind of hard to put a label sometimes.
But there those that feel the need I guess...
Awesome clowns, very nice specimens!

Never said it was not a nice clown. :) However, breeders have gotten out of control with labeling. It misleads buyers into spending more money on a mislabeled clown. A grade B should sell as a grade B, likewise for a grade A.

Usually grade A have 2nd and 3rd stripes fused into a pattern, like jigsaw piece , may not have all the black usually found, but according to stripe pattern they are a nice A grade picasso...

Those are really great looking Grade A Picasso's.

Rhizo- I would agree that there are some people who up-label their fish in an attempt to get top dollar, but I wouldn't accuse Mitch of this. Booyah's Reef sells quality fish for exactly what they are. As one of the larger breeders in the area, he would have to hold himself to the same high standards as the other large breeders. It only hurts yourself by upgrading fish, because it will come back to bite you no matter who you are.

[profanity] a grade A or Z... If you like the fish enough to pay the sellers price then by all means buy it. As long as it's healthy and not sickly when arrive I'm ok withtot!!! Just my 2centz.

Great Picasso pair by the way.

I always used grades to describe the health/physical condition of the animal. Any critter that is healthy and happy is grade A in my book. I understand the different names for the all white, or all black, but different names for slight variations in misbarring is silly. Snowflake/Picasso are{should be} interchangeable.

As far as I am concerned, You have a beautiful pair of healthy misbarred clowns. Cheers!!

I removed several posts, let's keep on topic. Aside from this being a year old, some things don't need to be discussed here.
