Ed,

See Scott's avatar? I wonder where that pic came from :D

When are you heading our way?

Yes, I thought it looked familiar :D I have much better equipment now.

Today was my last working day; I'll take some vacation time next week and then head for Virginia on Friday the 26th. We're going to enjoy the ride, so we won't be in town until Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm really looking forward to getting together with you and Scott again and talking fish. ;)

Cya Soon...

Not sure Ed, lots of activity around the tank, variety in diet is less, temps are a bit sporadic this time of year, etc.

The pair migrated to my tank last February. The male was here last about 5 years ago as tiny juvi. Now he is the proud father :D The pair spawned a couple of months ago.

Here is a short video of one of the offsprings setting house for the first time

CONGRATS!

5 years is a long wait.. How many years do you think it would take a subadult/juvenile pair to reach to breeding age?

Marina had the little guy from the most tiny size I have ever seen an import clown. I was lucky enough to have her loan the little guy to me for a few years and not have my female kill the juvie on arrival ;>)

Looking back at the logs/posts:

He was added as a juvenile to a tank with a mature female early 07.
First fertile batch of eggs in August 07.
To say he put on a growth spurt would be an understatement.

Of course Marina had to recondition the fish to her standards this spring. To pull off reconditioning, breeding and then raising fry to such a size since Feb is quite an exceptional demonstration of skills.
