Hi Chris...i decided to change coz there is talk about carbon fines causing HLLE in tangs...and API had lots of fines.
I havent tried this brand yet...il post an update on it soon...

Yes I have read that study as well. As a result of it I changed brands to elos since its much higher quality.

You cant handle a crab but you can use a tablesaw? Youre strange! lol Nice work my man. What does it control and where is it mounted? Id like to see a full setup photo with where its at in your home. I love to see how folks spend their time viewing their tanks. It help me to feel less goofy about my own "spot" that I get made fun of for having!

I am planning to install the power box in the cabinet for the additional equipments thats gonna come when im gonna setup the Kalk reactor.
Thats the next big thing gonna happen on my tank
Will post pics as soon its done...
Tha tank's in my living room/hall...the only real estate im allowed to occupy in the apartment...

Got my Vortech in EcoSmart tidal swell mode. The Vortech can move water!
Had to dial it down to prevent splashing water outta my tank.
I'm seeing more surface agitation in this mode than the NTM setting.
My pumps are in same place and unchanged.
Sound is pretty much same as before, can't say it's totally silent. But it's not something that's bothering much. But mayb for tanks located in bedrooms it can make a difference. Unless your wife prefers the Vortech sounds over your snoring or the snoring counter balances the Vortech.

noise cancelling properties would be a great marketing tool for vortech, hope theyre watching! Snore>inverse vortech pulse>vortech pulse>inverse snore! I love it!
I didnt care for the TSM because my vortech is the main flow in my tank so there wasnt any random current. It just blew either soft or hard! I was fearing it would peel the skin off some of my corals. It does move some water on that setting though. Glad youve settled on a mode that works for you. Right on! Ive gone back to NTM 24/7, it just cant be beat for random, powerful, detritus suspension and removal. Plus after about 3 days of hearing it, ive fortunately adjusted to the noise and dont even notice it anymore. Plus I can say with certainty that I end up with more gunk in my skimmer than on any other mode. I can tell by the large particles that are in the cup. I didnt get that with other modes.

lol @ snore noise canceling modes!Surprisingly the more you hear the humming more ya get used to it.
Yep the TSM setting does seem to be doin good. Gonna let it run for a while and then try the others
Good observation there Chris about skimming. I gotta observe if these various modes are doing anything with my skimming.

So who all needs Vortech specific snoring lessons? I think if there are enough volunteers we can direct a request to Vortech. I'm sure they will come up with a EcoSnoring smart course wireless enabled for slave and master. And communicating with even their Radion LEDs. Must be quite a lighting display when in snore sync mode.
