BUILDING A DREAM....SPS Dominated Tank build

Starting off the 2nd Phase upgrades...I got some decals made as part of "getting the tech into display" theme :)
I owe a big thanks to Allen from Reef Bytes for the effort and helping me out in this. Thanks AL!!
They are on their way and will update once I receive them :D

Hi guys,
Over the past weeks I saw some great n beautiful tanks crash and some reefers rebuilding again from start. Im thankful my tank is doing okay till now.
But I'm just bit low on motivation and everytime I look at my tank I'm thinking how devastated i will be if the beautiful corals and fishes I'm caring for will perish and it will be my fault....not a good feeling at all...

It's the risk with the hobby....

Best you can do is give them the best equipment you can, with as much redundancy as possible.

Given the amount of tech you've already put in, I seriously dunno what else you can add :)

Hey Bello,
Nice to hear from you bro.
Thanks a lot for the kind words. Yea a bit stressed out seeing great tanks crash. Appreciate ya for injecting me with some will power :)
Tech is a field of reefing I dearly love and keep track of. There are lots of things I wanna try but most are beyond me...
Iv some more tech plans, slowly and steadily il incorporate em :)
Once again thanks again for the words n support.

Having been down that road myself, at the time you think it's the end of the hobby for you, but if you stick with it and rebuild you'll incorporate new failsafe's to prevent problems from happening (learn from your mistakes). Looking back at what I had before the crash and looking at what I have now, I saw it as a blessing in disguise. Those experiences made me a better reefer.

And thanks to sites like this we can learn vicariously through other people's mistakes. I can't imagine where I'd be in the hobby if I didn't devote a lot of my time reading through RC.

My sons 33 gallon cube crashed, all the fish died from itch, and I am taking down the tank and selling it, to much trouble. In its place will be a 40 gallon breeder SPS tank with some of my best equipment and very few fish. I am glad to get rid of the cube and get a rectangular tank but I am not in a big hurry at all.
So keep on trucking, you will be fine.

Hi Jimmy,
Thanks for the considerate reply. Yea with this dear hobby of ours everyday i learn something new. Learning from mistakes made and trying not to repeat them has kept me going all this while. Also as you had mentioned i owe a big thanks to RC and all the super members who chipped in with advice and comments in my time of need :)
Thanks again for the support and words of encouragement.

Just throwing this out there... Neptune announced they're coming out with the leak detection module. That would certainly add a level of safety to the setup.

Hi moondoggy4,
Upgrading from 33 to a 40 gal...Oh Yea! :)
Thanks a lot for your post and words of motivation for me. Feels good that there are people out there who can relate to my "reefers blues" :hmm2:
