Buildup of a 210 gallon Reef

The plan for Sunday is to move everything from the 90 to rubbermaid bins. Then get a couple of guys over, move the 90 out of the way and then move the 210 in to place. I'm hoping to have EVERYTHING ready for the move come Sunday.

Can't wait for the pics on that. Not sure if you mention this or not but have you chosen a feed pump for your asm g4x?

I'll be sporting a maxijet 1200 which asmskimmer recommends. If I feel that isn't quite good enough I may up the pump a bit. I've read one opinion that the mag5 will work better.

yeah i saw you talking about it the the asm skimmer thread and was wondering which way you were going to go before i made my choise but i was thinking on the mj1200 as well thinking that the mag 5 might be too much.

A few more pictures:

I received some recommendations to install a union ball valve on the back of the sump so here she is:

The doors on the canopy are heavier for this tank than the last and wouldn't stay up on their own so I installed some hinges to allow them to stay open:

I decided to do the overflow mod while the tank was empty:

With that out of the way I got up at 8:00 yesterday and started tearing down the 90. This was the pic I took the day before for the last day:

Finally, a shot of the beast:

It wasn't without its mishaps though. The new water I put in was almost 90 degrees from the garage so I put the tunze's on it, floated some bags of ice and went to dinner. I also mixed some of the old water to drop the temp. Before I went to dinner I was at 84.7. When I got home we were in the 81.2 range so I started moving corals over. Then when I got to the two bucket with the caps in it that water felt really warm. I measured the temp and it was 87 in there! So, I unplugged the heater and let it drop for several hours, no doubt faster than it should though. We'll see what happens from that...

The sandstorm is still there but I have about 8" visability. The lights will be wired tonight and jocoxVT is going to come over and help me put on the canopy. Then topoff will be hooked up as well as the calcium reactor and all that good stuff.

heh, the picture of the 90 broken down looks like there is mold on the wall. It's clean, I'm not sure what happened there.

so that's it???????????????? just a broken down 90 and a big glass box with a sandstorm????????????? that's what you leave us hanging with?????

More pictures to come soon. I actually took one last night after reading your post JR. :)

I can see all corals now and the back glass. So far no losses. I haven't aquascaped any at all but will try to do that soon. I still have to put on the VHO's, calcium reactor, ozone and all controllers.

It actually looks like a smear on the lense.
