I modded the overflow because the teeth of the megaflow limit flow more than the actual drain does. My thinking is that if I ever replace my pump with a stronger one I don't want to cut those out at that time.
Thanks Lunch! So far so good, that insignis you questioned a few months ago got in a battle with that huge sinularia and has one tip that is stn'd. I'm going to keep an eye on that and if it grows I will frag it off.
No worry on the carpet, we will simply clean the area exposed if we need to. The 90 this replaced was also on an oriental rug like this and it held up fine for over a year. Short test, but we'll cross that bridge if we have to.
Looking back at that first picture, it does look like her head was superimposed there. LOL
The rockwork is simply balanced that way. All seems rather stable and no glue nor epoxy was required.
I'll see if I can take more pics tonight. It will be a while before more rock is added due to the cost of that stuff even with base rock. The water is almost perfectly clear now, hopefully it won't be long.
