Butterflytown - 240 FOWLR

Show was decent, there were a few vendors missing. I picked up an utter chaos frag and a nice orange plate.

Not sure why I spend m

caribfan since you are the butterfly king, if you had a choice between a small shoal of heniochus acuminata or a semilavartus; which would you choose. Also taking into consideration the care level and eating habits. Thanks for your help. Tank is a 125gal.

Appreciate the title, but there's another man here who holds that crown in my book.

As for your question, I'd say it's more of a personal preference, although a "shoal" of heniochus might feel a bit cramped in a 125.

For my money, the Semilarvatus is one of my favorite butterflies. I think it might be the first butterfly I ever purchased. I've never owned any of the heniochus, but I assume once established their feedings habits are much similar to the Semilarvatus.

What are the other inhabitants out of curiosity?

Lost the collare, not surprised, it didn't act right from day one. Kind of a relief at this point to be honest.

Happy to report that the Altivelis is finally doing well. It will pretty much only eat PE mysis and clams on the half shell. Going strong in the third week of cupramine. Should be ready to go into the DT when I get back from vacation along with my multifasciatus and maybe Mr. Puff (he's all healed up now).

Sorry about the collare :(... mine has never been easy, until maybe several years into it, when it finally decided pellets were acceptable :-/

Great news on the Coradion. The LFS has one eating well... so tempting, but the tank is too full :(

Right now just 2 ocellaris clowns and a juvi emperor angel. The angel will get moved once it gets too large for the tank. I've always loved the semi's but price was a big thing for me, about 10yrs ago, haha. Now that I have career it is a tad easier to spend the money a fish like that.

To add or not to add, that is the question.

Small Blueline Angel.

This is a fish I've always loved, but I also told myself that I wasn't going to buy any more angelfish.

I also have some concern about how the Regals will take to a little blueline, specifically the bigger one.

I had really hoped to buy a butterfly or two, but nothing is showing up that I'm interested in.

Do you still want those bioballs? I can probably hook up with you sometime on Wednesday.

I know, I know.

I had my hopes set on picking up a mitratus or Declivis, but neither are available right now.

The balance of power is going to shift back to the angels.

I know, I've been watching it, I'm too cheap though. If I have a wholesale hookup it kills me to pay retail, although that price isnt too far from the wholesale price.
