Calcium reactor circulation pump question

Hello fellow reefers

I have a MRC dual chamber calcium reactor that has a blue line/Pan World 10PX 180gph as a circulation pump. My question to you all is do you think the reactor would function better if I replace the current pump with one that has an output of 750gph(cause I have one collecting dust)? The reason im thinking about this is with the current pump the water doesn't seem to be circulating the first chamber as much as I'd like. I am seeing excess c02 bubbles in the chamber which is not what I'm supposed to be seeing.

Your thoughts?

MRC knows what they are doing when it comes to their reactors and I think the pump that it comes with is just fine. It doesn’t take much circulation flow inside the reactor for it to run efficiently. As such, I would leave it alone. If you are seeing excess gas in the reactor, it’s likely because you are putting more gas in than your effluent rate or you are picking up microbubbles from the location your feed pump is drawing from. That or you have a vacuum leak on the intake side of the feed pump or feed line.

I have the dual chamber MTC ProCal. It originally came with the blueline 20. I decided to swap in a 10PX to reduce electricity draw. CaRx worked just as well. The issue was that the 10PX only lasted about 18'months before burning itself up. Maybe just a bad unit, dunno, but I went back to the 20.
