Calvin415's ADA 60-P Build

This is making me want to give the ATS a try.
Your tank looks great. Coral colors look good. Love that scoly.
Are you getting any algae problems?

Thanks! No algae issues at all... There is a little fuzz on the LR, but the CC keeps anything that grows in the tank controlled. Added some Zoanthids this weekend along with an alveopora. Still trying to decide what fish I should add. Right now, I have a single green chromis...

A pair of Candy Basslets would look great in there, if you can afford them. I like all the basslets. A nice pair of Caribbean or Swales Swissguard Basslets would be nice, but they might go after your sexy shrimp. Sexy shrimp are probably one of the very few shrimp that they might be able to eat. Most of the shrimp that are available in the trade are too big for a basslet, but a sexy shrimp might be small enough. I've had a pair of Swissguard Basslets and they are great fish. They didn't attack my peppermint shrimp, but the pep. shrimp were just as big, if not bigger than they were.

Hey Calvin ur build are always so cool (although I hate you for taking down that super long tank.. lol)..

Hey without getting into any skimmer vs scrubber discussions.. would you be able to post periodic updates on how much skimmate youre getting while running the ats?..

I"m thinking of building one for my tank..

Thanks!!!

Here is 2 weeks of skimmate... This looks darker than it is, it's only tea color.

cool thanks... I already build the enclosure for mine.. waiting for everything to dry up.. hope u dont mind that I stole a few or your tricks... I'm doing the same set up with the gate valve and the quick connects.. thanks.. keep the pics coming tank looks great.

Wow your pictures are awesome. I really like the pictures of the scrubber in action. I have heard of this before but have never really seen the results.

Nicely done . I like the way you stocked up on everything for the long haul . Storage water etc .. How's the color on the red planet . The last pic indicates it is getting a lot of light as I do not see too much or any green in it . Is the red paling to a pinkish hue ?

Don't mind at all, glad to see others trying to think outside the box. ;)

Thanks! Yeah it's done a great job, I clean the glass once a week, and what I clean off is pretty much film.

Calvin.. check it out inspired by ur build

Looks great!

beautiful nano :)

Thanks!

Nice nano, i would like to add the algae scrubber idea to my 60p.

nice tank!! might have to try the algea scrubber

Great results so far with mine! :)

Calvin how the tank doin?

So far not too bad... Been slacking on my tank lately due to summer activities, but did a water change yesterday, cranked up the lights, because I wasn't getting the results I was looking for at 30% w/ my SPS so we'll see what 100% brings. ;) Going shopping tonight, I'll post up new pics in a few days hopefully.

Bump for updates. Nice tank dude!

Thanks!

The tank looks great, subscribing so I can follow along.

Thanks!

I've been cutting the light back on my AI SOL (down to 30% at peak time), but after losing my Maxima Clam, and Plate Coral, while my SPS are getting dull, I'm ramping up to 100% at peak time just to see how they respond... I think LEDs must penetrate better, because not matter how much shade I gave my plate it still suffered. :( As of now, my RP still looks Red, but not a vibrant as it once was. We'll see how to looks in a few weeks under the higher light.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, sorry I've been MIA for a while, just too much going on and too little time. I'll get some pics soon to bring you up to speed.
