Carpet anemone lighting question

How many hours do you suggest to run my lights a day to make a carpet anemone happy?

180 gal tank 250W metal halide and T5's

Just run them what you would normally do for corals. Mine is on 8 hours and is just fine.

I am running them 8 hours .... as soon as the metal halides turn off (the T5's stay on for 0.5 hours more) the stomach comes out off the mouth of my carpet.. In the morning, just after the metal halides come on the stomach turns in back.

It seems to be stressed. I just put it in a week ago.

Is it eating?

I think the first one I had about 3 years ago did the same thing at night, but once it got accustomed to things it was fine.

Dont they release their waste by turning out their stomaches?

yes they do. mine wll shrink a bit at night but will not expell its stomach, im actually going to cut my time back to 6 hours and see if he cares energy bill was ridiculous this month >_<
