Good to hear that the sand went in well and seems to have settled in smoothly! I'm sure you'll be able to keep it nice and pristine, with a little work :hammer: sand is the hardest lol at least for me!Thanks buddy, I've removed my coarse sand now, most of it anyway. The finer stuff that I've added so far isn't moving around too much so I'm optimistic. I just really want white sand"¦something I've never achieved in any of my tanks. My sand always looks ugly.
I love regals too. They've gotta be in my top 5 favorite fish in the ocean and absolutely my favorite affordable fish. He's a model citizen with all my sps too, which is an added bonus.
Thank you for the very nice compliment Wiskey!Very nice tank Cfloor! You really have the gift I love the angels too! They are just gorgeous.

Awesome and awesome! I would love a regal as well but there's a few other angels I'd have to get first before one of those guys lol
Quick get some pics so you can immortalise the white goodness! :lolspin:I love when I put new sand in a tank, it'll probably never be as white as it is right now. Now I gotta ask, what are some of the angels you'd like to have.
That is one nice fish wish list! Those captive bred bandits are one of the coolest things I've ever seen! If you like Genicanthus, I would definitely take a look at g. caudovittatus. I have a pair and the male is just stunning! We definitely have similar tastes in fish. My dream is to have a large tank with a Clarion, a bandit, and a conspic. I don't think I'd leave the house :lolspin:Quick get some pics so you can immortalise the white goodness! :lolspin:
Well, angels are my favourite "type" of fish to start with so the list can be a little big lol I'll go in order of most wanted I suppose!
Numero uno is a pair of captive bred Bandit Angelfish, oh my golly gosh do I adore Bandits! Such cool fish and the worst part is my LFS can get captive bred beauties and they're only $3K a fish :crazy1:
Next would have to be another two bellus so that I could have a harem of three of them because I love my female to death! I think genicanthus would hands down be my all time favourite genus of fish!
In no particular order would be a Majestic angel, a Singapore angel, a Goldflake angel (oh I looovvee Goldflakes), a clarion would be cool but not before these guys that's the list at the moment because I have to save room for the butterflies I'd be getting as well :eek1:
Sweet tank. Love the colors if the corals and fish.
The problem with it would be the size of the tank and the amount of food required haha especially if I wanted to keep my acro's safe :eek2: Bandit's are just such cool and stunning looking fish, one day when I'm rich and care free I'll buy myself a pair of them! Me too! Out of all my angels, the golden is the only nipper. He only goes after a handful of acros and doesn't do any harm so I don't mind it.cool fish, of all the angels ive owned the only one ive had eat coral is the golden angel.
Thanks so much. In the past I've removed a flame, and a beautiful Griffis angel, which was actually doing some damage. Right now, my golden does some nipping, but it's not doing any harm. What angels are you thinking about? I'm always willing to take the risk because I can catch any fish (other than my golden) with my trap.I envy your will buddy to try your luck with these "risky" fish and so happy it works for you:beer:
I have on my mind 1-2 angles too and i'm thinking of it for the last 4-5 months...still can't decide if i'll bite the bullet
Another great pic:thumbsup:
Yeah, my male is such a stud! Easily one of my favorite fish. I'd actually lean to buying another small female. Watching a fish transition is something that I've always enjoyed and been fascinated with. They are tough to come by. I believe New York Aquatics has one, and I've been tempted, but it's a little pricey in my opinion.Beautiful angels, loving your male G. Caudovittatus. If I were to add another to my 80g, would you add a smaller female or go straight for a male? If I had to guess my current female is about 3" and possibly somewhat transitioned male but stopped early on. She has extra markings above her eye and she has the black stripe along her dorsal fin. I'm thinking I should grab a smaller female personally, hopefully I can find another one in the future.
Thanks bud! Where do you live? My LFS has them pretty regularly. You KNOW I'm loving this shot!! All time favorite fish!
I wish they weren't so scarce around here... Gotta get one.
Beautiful!
Lovely fish collection. But this tort colony is amazing!!! Wow, such intense blue colouration! :beer
A bit more growth on some of the smaller colonies and this tank should be getting TOTM. Just keep up the awesome work buddy.
Thanks!Wow, what an eye popping pic
Thanks Dom!Your g. caudovittatus are hard to beat as well! lol love them You do look pretty fully stocked, fully stocked with pure awesomeness
What a stunning little fish though and that photo pretty much sums up how awesome your stocking is too, sooo many amazing fish
One day I'll have a fish and an Angel collection that'll make even Ryan jealous :lolspin:
I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a Regal Angel - it will be my birthday present:hb2:
I just have a small wesophillia that I will need to relocate and possibly the clam- i can move them to the flubber tank. I also was looking at a juvenile Imperator. Having a SPS only tank will allow me to add a few angels to the reef
