The new light looks sexy, ATI don't support aus which is why i'm dropping their T5 tubes and swapping everything over to Giesemann bulbs i can grab from the LFS without any risk of breakage I still think the ATI blue plus bulb is the overall best T5 bulb ever made - the radium of the T5 world lol..........

That is a huge haul of goodies, i think you did great on the trade buddy. Thanks for not putting any rubbish corals in the shot mate..........:beer:

Here's my haul for today. I traded a few colonies for this. It doesn't look like much and a lot of the frags are browned out, but I feel there's a ton of potential in there. They will spend about a month or so in my acro QT. There's also a nice golden torch in there but I didn't want to upset biggles, so it's not in the pic :wave:

These corals were just in my car for about 2 hours and dipped in Bayer so they're all pretty stressed.

Did you get those from AC? I wanted those too, but I couldn't find anyone to go half or 1/4 on those colonies and they weren't fragging.

That's weird you guys don't get ATI bulbs out there. Blue + bulbs are definitely my favorite, I have 4 in my 8 bulb fixture.

No problem on not posting the flubber :spin2: It's such a nice piece, that one day you will be forced to scroll past a pic of it. haha

There's always gonna be at least one flubber bully in the pack! My new light is 8 bulbs. 4 Blue+ 3 Coral+ and 1 AB. It's not the hybrid, that fixture is nice but pricey. I'm considering adding some led strips in the future but for now I'm happy with it. Thank you for the compliment, I will try and get some decent pics up soon.

Very good eye! Yes I did get the two colonies there. I traded some stuff in there and California Reef Co. Once they settle in and grow a bit, you can have some frags. All the frags I got came from Reef Co. I think I got some good ones but it's hard to tell when they're all browned out.

Thanks for the reply, that unit is sick, I have my eyes on one as well, but I will likely wait a few months to update any hardware. Good selection of bulbs too, if you go to BRS they have a sale on KZ products, the superblue is a phenomenal bulb, you got to add this one to your arsenal

Nice new sunshine! I love my ATI (except the fans **** me off). I'm with Andrew on the flubber pics. There really should be a ratio allowed in the SPS forum...like maybe 1 flubber for every 10 Acro pics MAX. I hate it when I'm surfing on my phone and I have to click every pic to see it, and I click and it's FLUBBER in an SPS thread. For crap sake. :lol:

That's a nice looking tank, one of the best I have seen in the bay area. I saw those colonies at AC, I picked up one colony a white and glowing peach branches, lavender tips with peach polyps. Can't wait to see this corals true potential in a couple of months, AC sure is picking up their game on SPS corals.

Yea, I'm definitely excited to see what these brown frags turn into. I like buying a bunch of 10-20$ frags and hoping for the best. I'm really excited about one of the colonies I got too. It's been a while since i bought some corals

/rant. haha. I appreciate a little flubber but like everyone else in this forum, I love SPS corals the most. I made some room in my frag tank so I'll be on the hunt for more. What is it that you don't like about the fans on the ATI units?

That's a very kind compliment, thank you! Was the piece you got a spathulata? If so, I saw that one and I was very close to getting it as well. I traded in some colonies and frags so I had a decent credit t there. AC is really a great shop in my opinion. They get some amazing fish and like you said, they have some great corals. I'm there almost every weekend, haha. Best of luck with your new pickup. I'd love to see some pics!

I've done some traveling lately and my tank has had a few ups and downs. My skimmer pump broke when I was out of town (of course). My tank went about 18 days without a skimmer. I upgraded my skimmer and it didn't fit in my sump, so I bought a new sump which I really like. I'll post some pics of that soon. I also bought an apex controller which has been really fun. I also had a solid alk spike recently. Between that and my nutrient spike my corals have lost some color, but everything is still coming along.
