ChrisQ's Upgrade Build....Again

Sweet, you don't see many efflo's around. They are a cool coral. I got one from battlecorals and I love it because its so different. Good luck with it, but judging by the pics, it should do fine!

Nice, are you going to do another build thread on the new tank?

I don't think so, I think I'll just keep it all in here.

Growth is great but I'm not having too much luck with color right now. I have a SSC that looks horrible in color (pale). I've tried doing a few things to get it colored up but none seem to work. I just got some pohls xtra that I'm adding every other day. Hopefully that will help.

Here's a quick shot of the WWC $500 efflo I picked up a few weeks back. (Cell phone camera)

All your lps is going here? Let me know if you want to do par readings again.
I moved over all my lps and most of my softies. In a few months I want to move one of the clams and the goni over. I may take you up on that offer if things don't see to do well.

I have some bad news to report. This morning the nem was all nice and dandy looking great on it's new spot. I came home from work early and found it stuck in the overflow. It was ripped all sorts of ways, I haven't personally seen any damage like that in person. Kinda emotional for me, since it was so hard to find and my most prized thing in the tank. It caused my topoff to dump a lot of RO in the tank and I'm so devastated thay I almost want to take the tank down.

Chris, Hang in there buddy. Maybe the anemone can be saved. Possibly dip in a light iodine solution? And place In a submerged basket? There's an anemone and clownfish forum on RC. Try posting there.

I also have plenty of salt if you need any to get your salinity back up.

Chris, any updates?
The anemone didn't make it. After checking salinity it didn't drop too much. (1.022) I got it back up to 1.025 somewhat slow and everything seems to be doing fine. I was also able to find a gigantea that Coral Kingdom had. It is a little bleached but has a lot of potential.

Sorry you weren't able to save it. But glad to hear you found a replacement. Do you have any idea what happened with your old one?

I will most likely be starting a new build and be taking down my current tank. I have a 40b as my current sump that is all Glass. Should I reuse that sump and stick with and internal pump or should I go the acrylic sump route and drill for an external pump? If you have ran both internal/external I would love to hear your input!
