Clipperton Angelfish? Legal or Illegal?

Yeah, I'm laughing too. Public aquariums have to QUARANTINE the fish and they generally don't have tons of quarantine tanks laying around waiting for surprise shipments of 50 large angelfish. But don't take my word for it, call up any aquarium and ask them if they have 1000-2000 gallons of QT space cycled and ready to go but for some reason have no fish in it.

There is a lot you are clueless about. Quit while you're ahead.

I do not have to call.
I'm working with public aquariums my friend, and obviously the clueless here is you.

But enough with this thread.

and one last thing...you said 50 large angelfish, didnt you say earlier that they shipped only half? so , they didnt have enough QT even for 25-26 angels? (at least stick to your own stories)...not even enough to save....ONE? haha, you are funny you.

The only thing that's funny here is your inability to grasp basic English. They were unable to immediately accept 52, but okay to accept 26. It's not that hard to understand.

I'm guessing 808state and copps are getting a good laugh at this point if they're still bothering to read the thread.

Have a nice day.

It is amazing the point people will argue to try and prove they are right even after they have been proven wrong.

A sad but at least enlightening thread. If I hit the powerball I swear to you all that I will find a way to legally collect some clippertons.

So The public aquarium had no space to QT 26 Angels is that what you are saying?

My English is ok, not as good as I wanted it to be, but i speak 5 languages.

You continue talking BS and try to clear USFWL service, I wont be surprise if you are one of them.

The ones who are getting a real good laugh are anybody who's in import/export business for fish and see what you posted, a couple, actually already were calling me after they saw this thread.

On a side note, here are some poor quality shots of the specimen at AOTP:

Good to hear that it's still around.

Jazzman Would any of these fish have been sold in the US? I mean if even a couple clippertons showed up for sale in the US wouldn't the USFWS check to see if they had been imported legally?
Where were these fish headed Japan?

Jazzman (the real one, not "therealjazzman" lol), I admire your patience with this thread. I'm reading now only for the entertainment value, there is nothing more to learn.

The dude who smuggled the fish is directly and solely responsible for their deaths. And for the black eye our hobby took as a result. He got off easy in my book. There is no reason to hate on USFWL.

I'm going to go with this and close this thread.
