Nothing spectacular like some of these pics but I use this same pic only bigger for my desktop background. Well, I like it.

I've been lurking on this thread pratically since it's inception... and finally have a picture worth posting.
I recently got a Digital Rebel.
Here's a picture I took using a 75-300mm lens.

I've still got a lot to learn, and I know that the white balance is off...

Tang_man, you should shoot in RAW mode. That way you can adjust the WB using ACR till it is right.

Hair worms! Had a bunch of these spawning on the front glass yesterday and took some pics. Unfortunately, did not get any pics of them in the act of spawning.

Bob, those are spaghetti worms, right? Great shots!! Would you let me put a copy of them on my ID page, giving you photo credit?

Marc,
Feel free to use them on your site...please give credit to BeakerBob (my screenname on Michigan Reefers). If you need a better quality picture, let me know and I can send them to you.

Be advised that I think these are actually hair-worms, or cirratulid polychaete. I know that many reefers, including myself, call them spaghetti worms. My brief research says that spaghetti worms live in a tube and have the hair-like projections only at the head, not the whole length of the body as these do.

Check out this article explaining the difference:

Thanks Bob, that sounds good to me. I'll read that article too. Maybe tomorrow.
