:lmao: You need some Interceptor for your pest? :)

I heard you got the hookup :smokin:

More goodies!!
My new/used 6101..

I opened the box and was a little freaked out :eek1: , Couldn't find a driver box or transformer ;) then I figured it out :o

More Goodies-

For Flow- This is what I'm thinking, lmk if there are any issues.

I'm going to mount the 6101 on the center of the overflow- pointing forward. I'm going to sell my 6100 & get another 6055 and mount those to the Eurobrace on each corner of the Tank.
All will be controlled by either a Profilux or an ACIII w/aquasurf.

I will mod the 6055's so were looking at 3,200 + 2,000 + 2,000 gph= 7,200 gph + 800gph return.
8000gph turnover on a 120g should be plenty, correct me if I'm wrong.

6101 on the Overflow (I'll use my magnet mount, not the hanger)

Concrete (btw, is your name Jeff?) - If you're doing a sandbed, that 6101 will prob blow a crater in it. I'd put the 6101 on one end of the tank, and the (2) 6055's on the other end of the tank. If you really want a PH on the overflow, then (1) 6055 on the end, and the other on the overflow

Yeah, It's Jeff.. Why, What did I do? It wasn't me I swear..

I don't really want one in the overflow- I have my 6100 mounted on the side of my 90g & I don't like it there, kind of an eyesore. I figured mounting it to the overflow would make it blend in a little more.
I guess I can always try, its not like I can't move it if it's too much flow...

maybe I should go BB...

sike! :p

LOL, no, I'm just tired of calling you "Concrete" :p

The Tunzes are ugly, but I think functionally, you'll get better use out of the 6101 on the side.

Do you have an internal overflow? If so, you can put the 6101 on the side of the overflow. It's less obtrusive that way

the nano stream obviously wont work there, its above the high water line.

mount it on the overflow.

It's just the way I took the pic- It's about 2" below..

Jeff, I think what Nick's referring to is the Nano's intake - it looks to be higher than the tank's water level?

It's lower, the angle of the camera makes it look higher than it is. I'll probably have to move it down though.

from experience they will suck air down unless they are at least 2 inches below the water

Yup, I'll definitely have to move it then... Unless I build some kind of bracket/holding device..

Standpipe question- Which one should I use and why? I have room for all 3 types (Durso would be a tight fit, but easier to build)
Durso, Stockman, or Hofer Gurgle Buster?

Jeff

Concrete, Just taggin along. Lookin good man! I loved your rubbermaid tub sump and fuge. Looked cool. Are you re-using the rubermaid? making changes to that or keeping it the same? How many gallons is that tub?

FWIW, I have my 6055 about 2 1/2" to 3" down from the WL and it still sucks a small vortex.

I got my stand for my Frag Tank today... and while I was working on it, my buddy Joe rolled up with the actual tank ;)

bbehring-

No, I'm not using the Tub.. I did like the fact that it added 80g's to my total water volume... I have no need for it now that I have my new sump & frag tank....

T-bone

I was looking at the CJ's, I think they cost to much for what they are.. $25 for maybe $10 worth of plumbing- I would rather build them myself and save $30, even if I have to use sch-40.. Hell,
noone is ever going to see them once I put the overflow cover on anyway, and sch-40 is thinner walled than sch-80 = More Flow :)

Jeff - I totally agree that the CJ's are a DIY job. I'm just lazy :D

Your frag tank - are those strips siliconed to the glass to support eggcrate? That's a great idea!

Yes, they are welded on to support eggcrate..

I think I'm gonna build some hofer gurgle buster's..

Frag tank looks cool concrete! How much flow are you planning to push through that dude? You have pics of your new sump?
