Hopefully AS takes my 6055 back, might be issues cause I used it for a whole 30 mins.

Terry- I'm planning on 2 pillars so back corners might work, might not.. just gonna have to wait and see.

GSM- Although I like the Vortech Concept and looks, After reading through thread after thread of issues with them I decided to go with old faithful.. Yeah, I know there ugly & big but they work. I had a 6100 running non-stop for over 2-1/2 years with no issues, no magnets to replace, no nothing!

Well, I went to Lowes & picked up some parts for my standpipes- $10 total. The sch80 T & 90 were a little to long when connected so I got out the compound miter w/plastic blade and cut about 1" off of each piece. I'm using a threaded insert reducer on the top w/ a 1/2" John Guest fitting- I cut the reducer in half so it would recess inside the T and make the guest fitting invisible. Took me a whole 15 mins. Here is the finished product.

no- he was in a baffle in my sump w/nothing to hide in and covered w/eggcrate.

I found him, he jumped through the eggcrate & thankfully landed in the refugium next to it. He was hiding under a small rock.

:)

*just added salt

got some 1/4" acrylic rods from my fabricator and I'm gonna start building some pillars. I'm thinking of a way to get the base off the sand a couple of inches to allow for water flow beneath the rock.

I might drill 4 3/4" holes on the bottom of the base- then use 4 4" pieces of rod to elevate it.

salt mixing... yaay, its my birthday, yaaaay
