Copps Angelfish & Acro Dominated Reef in HD

Yes, I would run this system much cooler if I didn't have a ridiculous electric bill... low 70s is fine for sps and may begin to affect growth at the temp you mention but sps growth almost becomes a pain after years... I bring this up in my talks and show photos of Julian Sprung's tanks... he himself also thinks low temps are much more beneficial than the ridiculously high temps we are running our reefs at these days into the 80s with the high wattage lights we are running...

Neat idea, the two corner tanks back to back! I love it! Looks like a large bowfront. Any of your angels in those two?
Yes, more pics please.

Matt

MORE PICS PLEASE! :) Copps I am always impressed by your tanks/fish. When do you think you'll be in Southern California? I would love to meet you, do you think you will come down for Reef-A-Palooza?

I have angels in all of my systems! The left system was home to this pair for years... Centropyge resplendens/ C. fisheri mixed species pair...

The right system was planned to have a pair of Centropyge debelius, but these came in rough and lasted only hours... so I for a while had a pair of true Hawaiian flame angels... now moved to my large system and made a trio... and so this system currently houses a pair of Centropyge multifasciata... although they'll be moved this weekend as I'm breaking this system down (any interested buyers PM me! :))

I travel about once a year to San Diego with work... I'll be speaking for a club in the Sacramento area next month... aside from that no plans...

P.S. are you getting any new Angels? Or how about some updates on them?

WOOOHOOOO my 1,000th post!!!

Always looking for specimens that excite me... currently have over 40 angels... :)

More! More! More!

I absolutly LOVE the Resplendent! Watching them spawn must be an incredible sight...

So where will the Multifasciata move to?

Also, have you ever heard or seen of the Multifasciata X Venutus Hybrid being collected and living in a tank?

Can you please post some info on your talk in Sac? I'd love to attend!

The multibarreds will probably move to a smaller coolwater tank I have, unless I can get a few hotumatua, which at this point looks like I'll have to travel to Easter and get them myself... :)

The venusta/ multifasciata hybrid was based on one specimen collected about 20 years ago until recently when another went on the market in Japan... :)

I'll post more info on the talk when I have it... are you going to MACNA?

Wow, nice use for a smaller tank! You go right for the rare Centropyge don't you? Envy Envy Envy..
The two tanks together are really great & look fantastic, but I think I already said that. Still, its the truth!

Sincerely,
Matt
