Coral Wars!!!!

Figured I'd add a new one to this now that my tank has started to establish and grow together:

Acropora Youngi (Bali Slimer) vs. Seriatopora hystrix (Pink Birdsnest)

Winner - The Slimer...

No suprise...

When you guys talk about a "winner" are you implying that the entire losing coral colony was killed, or are you just talking about a small part of the colony? For example, if some ricordia were to touch some montipora digita would the entire digita suffer? Or since the ricordia most likely can only attack the base of the digita, would only the base be injured?

Yes.
:D

Sometimes it's column A, sometimes column B. ;)

Galaxy vs Frogspan = Frogspan
Galaxy vs Green polyps = Galaxy
Frogspan vs Toadstool = Frogspan
Galaxy vs Moon = détente...however the galaxy is developing more sweepers and the moon is standing strong

I've seen a couple in my tank:
Hammer(Euphyllia ancora) vs. candy cane (Caulastrea curvata) = Hammer
Hammer vs. various species mushrooms = hammer (but shrooms have decided to just hang out below him now and they've called a truce for now
Hammer vs Frogspawn (Euphyliia sp.?) seems a draw so far
Kenya tree vs. xenia = Kenya
Kenya tree vs. shrooms = Kenya

Frogspawn Vs. RBTA = Frogspawn.

After I moved the tank about two months ago the frogspawn got on the RBTA. RBTA is still alive but I think it will be a very long time before its back to its old hosting beauty.
I've seen pics of different Euphyllia species on the same rocks that seem perfectly fine. I don't have any personal experience with this yet but I have my green frogspawn on the same rock as my purple hammer and was expecting a neutral outcome. Hopefully that will be the case.

Hydnophora vs. Ricordia: Hydnophora

Ricordia disintigrates like it has had acid poured on it.

Brown Star Polyps vs. Seriatopora Hystrix: Brown Star Polyps

I thought it started going white because I'd injured it. When I took it apart to frag, found that the star polyps had grown up into the base and choked/stung the birdsnest all the way through where I couldn't see from the outside.

Birdsnest vs. Pineapple brain = BRAIN

Crab kept knocking a frag of birdsnest into the middle of the pineapple brain below...Everytime the birdsnest where contact is made turns white...
