Cully's 120 build

I 'm a bit fuzzy on the bean. I seem to recall it's main benefits were: reliability, quiet, and reduced surface scum due to coast to coast. I ' m surprised the small box functions the same. Hate jenky plumbing, looking forward to this build. My single drain\ corner overflow weren't god awful. I like the small footprint regardless.

It's billing is directed more towards silence than surface scum reduction. Again, the beauty if the design is the piping, not necessarily the box. Surface scum doesn't make noise  silence is my goal. I'll use other means to break up the surface tension.

I don't think you'll have any problem with surface scum; Gary uses an elbow for an over flow. I find it funny people put Bean's name on a Calfo promoted weir.
With your knowledge and choice of equipment this tank will rock!

Updating for posterity. Room is finally redone and I can get some tank work done.

Joeswoodworks stand snd canopy is sturdy as heck and gorgeous. Perfect fit.

The overflow box and upper part of the Beananimal plumbing is done.

The brains are yet to be completed. Still messing with sump configurations. Apex is here. Not sure what if anything I'll be adding to that. And the Radion Pros are here too!

Going high tech. Only problem is my inability to hookup, program, or use any of this stuff.

Thank God for URS.

what's taking so long here? :wavehand:

Insufficient fundulation.

Actually we are moving along now that I'm out of deer tags.

Plumbing is mocked up. 1/2 of it is done. Waiting for 2 gate valves to arrive. Went to the glass shop this afternoon to Order all my baffles. The guy looked at me like I was drunk (one of the few times...I wasn't  )

I told him I needed all the weird pieces because I was helping my daughter build a terrarium for school project. He gave me literally 60% off.

Was going to start sifting through my rock to put a stack together, but I ran out of time today.

It's happening Gary....don't you worry!

The build is looking very nice! I just purchased glass baffles to build a 40b sump for my 90g tank. I should have used your line. I got robbed. Paid $64.00 for 4 pieces of glass with ground edges. I guess I should have asked how much when I placed the order. lol
