Thanks!Enjoyed reading through the thread, what a build!
Good question. Maybe the tank builder was worried about a possible leak into the dry dock emptying the tank. I'd rather have a burnt out Vortech than a flooded living room.you have mentioned in your thread that you had to disconnect the controls to get them down the dry wire pipe and I wondered why you didn't just drill a hole in the bottom of the dry dock using this for all wire as well?
Plenty of flow throughout the tank. I like that i have high flow in the center and less around the sides. Gives me lots of options for coral placement. I have not generated any waves. With 2 vortech pump at the same side can you still get enough flow around the tank, can you genarate a wave simplar to this clip?
I have my two MP40w's turned down quite a bit and still have my heavy gulf sand moving around in that front corner.do you think a mp60 would be too much?
NP.thanks
My stand builder painted the inside. I don't know what he used.Did you use any particular type of paint for the inside of the stand? I might have missed the answer in this thread.
Beautiful tank! I am in the process of purchasing equipment to rebuild the tank I lost two years ago when we got hammered by ice and lost electric for two weeks. The tank was good then, bare bottomed with a very nice elevated reef that was just starting to mature. Took me two years to get the energy back to do it all againanyway I wil be making a bunch of changes to the system and I was curious if you would recommend the fuge again? Have you noticed much benefit, are you harvesting alot from the macro? My tank is a 150 with a 55g sump that I am going to rebuid and I am just going through the design process now. Thanks for your input and THANKS for all the great photos! Best of luck.
