d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

Yeah, RC holds a stupid grudge against the other forum, so when you see the *****, just substitute those for the actual name. The rest of the url works fine.
Same with the Reeeeeef Billders website. ;)

Just be careful. You'll get dinged for bypassing a link block by intentionally misspelling it so that the filter doesn't catch it. You'll get one heads-up warning and then actual warning points if you do it again.

I didnt even know . Didn't even bother to look that the link was changed. I just googled the subject and posted the thread without even looking what website the thread was from.

Back to our regularly scheduled program...

amazing dennis!!!!

Fantastic!!
Thanks, guys. :)

Gorgonian photo bomb!
Ya in like half the pics!

BTW, you guys can see in some of the pics that the Ulva macro from my fuge has made it's way to my sand bed. Neither of my tangs seem to be interested. They're too enamored with the TBS rock.
Any tips in getting rid of it???
Thinking of tearing down the sump/fuge and doing what I can to remove it from the source.

Damn fine photos as usual!
Beautiful health as well.
Last I read, your n had dropped dramatically..
I know you don't test p as often but where has it been going of late?
Are you still slamming in the foods for the sponges and other filter feeders?

Ugh yeah, a couple years ago I put Ulva sp. in my fuge and the same thing happened: little sprouts in a spray following the path of the sump return :P Nothing wanted to eat it. I removed the Ulva from my sump and got it out of the DT by a combination of manual removal (actually scooping out the affected sand and tearing it off the rocks), hitting the "roots" on the rocks with tiny amounts of H2O2 applied with a Julian's Thing, and letting the CUC handle the rest. It can spread pretty fast so get on it if you can.

Yes, nitrates are down to ~1 ppm but p04 is still around .29.
I just got some GFO going yesterday. Will see how that goes.
For now I stopped the phyto dosing. Once p04 is down to around .1 I'll start back up slowly and see if the p04 starts to rise again.

Well, looks like I have a project this weekend.

Seems to me the best way to get rid of it is to break down your tank drive it to Arizona and set it up at my place problem solved
