I have a fan on the sump also, sorry forgot to mention that

The problem with seahorses is the need for low temps.

The closer I keep it to 72 degrees the better.

Anything over 76 degrees long term can cause bacterial infection ultimately leading to the demise of the horse.

So it looks like your going to be getting a chiller for sure based on what you just wrote. Neve knew that seahorses had to have it that cool, interesting.

High there from humboldt, ok lil bro , it looks great (well at least like a fish tank and not a huge resort for all your pet rocks)
:smokin: All jokes aside , i'm jealous . good job so far

I have been able to keep the temp down now for 3 days, so i went ahead and moved everything over today.

So far everything is happy.

The K4's are a bit strong though, so if anybody has 2 #1's or nano's I will trade you for them.

I am thinking about a cool design for my stand.....and I think I have decided on a "steampunk" theme!

All right. The diamond shape will be a stained glass window! the black border will be black leather with brass upholstery tacks. Each panel will be held on by magnets.

I am still trying to decide on the crown molding to decorate the canopy, and around the top of the panels. :)

on top of that, I want to use brass gears and watch part as accent pieces against the black leather.

If I can find a couple of 6 inch round brass gears, I will use those in the side of my canopy for the fan covers.

I think it will make for a nice contrast against the green sea grass.

I installed a 1/5 horse power chiller yesterday to make it through the scorching weekend. Everything is still alive and well, no casualties. :)

I picked up a Vortech today! I have it set in lagoon mode at about 1/4 power and the seahorses love the random, gentle flow! They are out more than ever and it is enough flow to keep detritus from settling without blowing the seahorse around.

I might try to get a small wave going to see if that works better, but I am not sure if the seahorse will be able to handle it.

I picked up this little piece of red macro. Not sure what it is but it looks cool!
