DIY 6.6g Nano!

Hey all just got done with this Friday. I have the coralife 36w 12" light, an aquaclear, heater, and koralia nano on the way. Think the koralia is too much at 256gph? It's ID is 12x12x9.75" for 6.6 gallons roughly. I had the glass shop cut it and with silicon have about $32.50 in it. It's not the greatest, but it's my first...Got it in my office here at work. What do you think? Needs to be finished out, but it's the beginnings...

Any suggestions?

The K-nano should be fine but that does depend on the livestock in the tank. My only suggestion is to pick hardy corals that can undergo the daily salinity changes that will happen from evaporation. And as always, good luck with it!

I forgot to mention the nano. I have one in my 14g BC that is great for it. I have the bigger penguin powerhead driving my third chamber return with a hydor flow on it. The front chamber of the BC can't be much bigger than your tank and I think I'm probably doubling your flow.

A K-nano or 2 would probably be great.

a nano would be perfect i think. 2 would be a lil more flow then needed.

Well got the rocks done about five minutes ago. Good? Bad? or Indifferent? Look ok? I wanted it more in the middle, but it's so hard with a tiny tank...

Yeah I'm totally happy with it either. I think I'll rearrange and take some of the big rocks back out...

It doesn't look bad. it depends what corals your gonna put in. If your gonna put stuff that doesn't grow out to take up more space I would put more rock. But if your gonna put acro's and stuff like that. Stuff that will grow out to take up more space less rock might look better in the long run. Just not right at first.

It'll be mainly zoas, rics, etc. I don't really like it...

Got the light and a few corals added, rocks re-arranged, etc. I'm liking it now...
