I thought I would share some pics of my new setup. It has bin running for almost two months now. There are just some inverts and plants for now. Ill start with pics of the build.

Thanks all. The dimensions are 86" length by 48" width by 22" in the shallow end. The deep end is 26" deep.

I should add the that this set up will be hooked up to RK2 filtration system shortly and it will be also hooked up to the next 12' pond that I am building. Here is the rest of the filtration.

Wow, I'm really impressed. I like it when people build their own stuff (there is a lot more skill involved than spending a huge amount of funds) and I like it when they do something unconventional, both of which you did. Where is the tank located? What sort of creatures do you plan to stock it with?

Definitely get cool points for building that. A few questions though.

What exactly is the EMF shielding for?

Why do you tease us with only a few pictures! :D
I can understand if you don't have many pictures from the build, but come on man, more than three pictures of the completely project! How am I supposed to get really dangerously expensive ideas if you only tease me a little :D

Very nice in deed!! What all do you plan on stocking it with? I love the Horseshoe Crab.
It would be a really cool Sting Ray Tank.

Please post more pictures!!

Thats absolutely awesome. That is the most creative build Ive seen. Its going to look awesome with that natural look, and fish swimming in TONS of wide open space.

Im glad everyone is likes it. I figured if I was going to go threw all the effort I would make it as unique as possible. It is located in my basement. Space is a little tight with all of my plans so the odd shape reflects the space that I had available to build. I thought I would put the shelf in because I never saw it done before. The EMF screening is Electro Magnetic Frequency shielding from the pumps and electrical sources.

I built the lagoon for sharks and did my best to take all of their special needs into consideration. All circulation and filtration is closed loop. All electrical sources have additional shielding.

I do not know the exact long term stocking. It will however be a temporary home for a Shorttailed Nurse Shark until the 12'er is built.

Here you can see the closed loop intake and the filtration intake

Here is the filtration return which is hidden under the rock work now.
