You've been busy since we left.

Jae, you and your family are wonderful and of course the tank is stunning! The LED's over his tank will blow you away. A must see!

Yes, thanks again Jae for all your help with the DIY project. When you can shoot me a pm with the info I need.
You make it look so easy but I know it is tedious work.

after youve soldered and attached 700+ LEDs it gets easy lol

his tank looks amazing with LEDs the pictures dont do it justice

Thanks Jae for the leds. that is definately an awesome tank you have there. My daughter said she could swim in it, but you would have to get that giant clam out first ( apparently sh is afraid of clams lol)

all done.

Jae , That is awesome , you do fantastic work . I can't wait to see that over the tank . I think that is so much better than Metal Halide , or T-5 .

I finished mine. I tried to take a picture but all you see is light. 24 -1 bulbs is very bright. The tank was very well lit, but now the T5s look brown. I am going to have to order a lot more bulbs.

I think I am blind now too.

-1 because I wired one parallel wire wrong. Also, the metal of the fixture is thinner than your angle aluminum so I need to work on a heat sink

Many people PM me about Arctic Alumina Thermal Adhesive (Two Tube Set).

one set can glue 30 or more LEDs

If you like to use ticker and bigger Aluminum I think it's OK

If LED run under temperature 50C (122F) will be fine
I tested my LED fixture with out any fan running -----around 38C-42C (107F)

I have many white(18000K) left

Thanks Jae.

The 40 watt solering iron worked much better than whatever I had, and it was only $7.99 at the shack. I didn't need to buy solder.

I am definitely going to do all my tanks

I am SERIOUSLY thinking about trying this on my 6FT 125g. I have 8 x 54w T5's.. and although I'm happy with them, I know i'd be happier with these.

I'm assuming the electric usage works out to be about the same? Trying to think of ways to sell the wife. ha.

I have been building with Jae. My 72 inch display uses 240 watts .Your system uses 432.The best part is no more bulbs .

Exactly. My T5 needs new bulbs. If I buy at Faois, $175. Cost of 24 bulb LED fixture $80.

FTS and build at the club forum

Exactly what im thinking too. I need new bulbs sometime in the next 90-120 days. Don't forget the improved PAR also..

$30 x 8 = $240

Wondering what the cost of this fixture would be.

With Jaes help I have built 2 6 foot .--80 led displays and best I can figure they cost just under 300 each.I was most suprised at the cost of wire and glue.My second display is almost finished and will be posted for sale soon. This is hands down the best light I have ever used.Everything has responded so well to this light.Especily my lobo and red gonapora.

Jae how man LEDs can u run on a 58 inch strip and what site are u ordering your led and power supplies from. Would like to run them in place of vho and create two strips for now to suplament and fill in the voids from the 2x 250 halides
