DIY LEDs with Radion Pro G2 pucks?

OK guys....got some leftovers 4 Gen 1 Puck, 4 Tir Lens, 2 Gen 1 Harness, 2 Gen 1 Fan, 2 Gen Fuse and 1 Gen 2 Fan.....make me a offer !

Pics needed. First post in a while. Getting ready to set my 75 back up and need some ideas on how to mount the lights. I have 4 Gen 2 pucks with individual heat sinks for each. Can I get a few pics on your setups? I tried flipping back through but only saw one post with pics of setup. Almost everything else was pics of parts.

I have just finished reading the entire thread and am still a little stuck so hoping someone can help me. It's not quite diy related but it has been touched on in this thread.

I have a g1 that has been upgraded to g3. It has stopped working so I opened it up to have a nosy and there was some corrosion over one of the capacitors nearest the wiring harness socket on one of the pucks. I lightly brushed over it to clean it when the capacitor came off completely. So my questions are, could the capacitor cause the lights not to work, not even appear as a device when connecting to laptop usb and also, what value would the capacitor be to replace it?

Any help would be great ☺️

Got a picture of the capacitor in question?

I'm not at home right now but it's the same as this marked up C1

I can take one of mine when I get home if needed though

I have made a arduino capacitor reader but it doesn't work without taking the capacitor off first which I don't want to risk. Will it hurt to just try other smd capacitors and see if it works?

hi...im tryin to figure out the puck version id circuit. Can someone share a good close up pic of he G2 PRO...........

Reason is..I diy upgraded some G2's to Pro's and want to use them in my radion light, but I am having trouble having the light recognize that the panels are Pro's

G2 non pro clusters.

Notice that up close you will see NO center Amber LED and NO UV LEDs on the outside ends of the clusters. Do not confuse the resistor that is soldered in place of the missing LEDs on the G2 Non Pro clusters.

When the Radion is powered on and added to the EcoSmartLive account, the driver board checks the resistance of all the channels of the led boards installed, thus determining which version of clusters are installed and therefore what it labels the light.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.
Just to get some clarification......

So what I did to update the boards myself was the following:
1. added 4 uv/indigo leds to each board
2. added one yellow to each board
3. removed the resistor near the center of the board

when i test the baord off line (not installed in radion), I can get all channels to illuminate, but when I install the panels in the radion fixture it wont recognize the panels as Pro's.

So are you saying it has to do with the bank of resistors on the panel? they are seem to be zero resistance based on my measurements. Do the Pro panels have a different combination of resistors or something?

Geardla,

I am not sure what your question is?

If it is how to use the boards for a DIY build, you can simply scan through this entire thread to read about it....

If it is to modify a G2 baord to make it into a G2 Pro board, you simply purchase the missing LED's and have them reflowed onto your board.
