drummereef's 180g in-wall build

Just finished reading the entire thread, everything looks great with excellent documentation. while reading everything i learned a great deal more about manifolds and will eventually(still buying everything) will now use one when i redo my 84 gallon for sure.

LOL! Reefers don't keep track of things like that, otherwise the suicide rate amongst SW aquarists would skyrocket! Safe to say several grand... several several grand. The cost of having a beautiful chunk of the reef when its done, PRICELESS (sorry had to!)

Glad you learned something from my thread kudora. That is my intent here. For people to add to and learn from my and others experiences. I've learned a lot along the way too.

lol i am in the middle of a 40 gallon build.....its scary to think of what i think the amount of cash i have spent in the last month

That's my current/other tank my 180g is replacing. Click my gallery for some pics. Those were taken a while ago, but I thought it looked pretty nice back then. Things have grown like crazy since then. Can't seem to get a decent full tank shot with my point and shoot camera. If I get something worthy I'll definitely post it.

I hear ya... Thank goodness when the economy goes downhill my job security increases

i have to say I liked the videos... Watching the wave made me nervous. I just know my tank was started on a Friday afternoon of a three day weekend and finished on the following Tuesday, so my luck would be that the seems would rip apart right about the time I left for a vacation

Yeah, I've only done it a couple times now and for only a few seconds. It really freaks me out. You don't hear much about tanks blowing out with guys that use Vortechs but it's bound to have happened. You can hear the Vortech's revving like a drag racer each pulse of the wave. Right now I've just been breaking them in, in reef crest mode.
