in awe
Yes....2-4" with layers of different size grains. I'm struggling with green cyano on the sand bed now though and I can't seem to shake it. If anybody has any opinions I'm all ears.
I wish....deepwater SPS seem to be the slowest growers in general.Man just finish going through this thread and every time you update it looks like your coral have doubled in sizee especially that Hawkins, which is my fav. Now I have to find one for my tank.
Thanks Tony. I have read tons of opinions on sand beds and how they should be......fact is there is little science or proof to back up anyone's arguments. I probably have spend more of my life reading about sandbeds than I ever wish to admit and still do not know for sure what is the best.I'd also say it's too shallow, a DSB should be at least 5" deep more like 6-7" and of a good size (over 7 gallons gallons of sand) to support enough habbitat for critter reproduction. A lot of people notice once they've set up a DSB correctly, they're able to keep certain corals that they previously could not.
A small point and, only my oppinion - the fact of the matter is your tank looks stunning.
Id bet u have the best coloration of any of us on the board and within the top in the world! coongratulations!
I don't think we can say that.....lots of amazing tanks on this board. I would be happy thinking my tank is in the top 10%. I think my camera skills have really come a long though too. Thanks for the compliment though.Id bet u have the best coloration of any of us on the board and within the top in the world! coongratulations!
