dvanacker's 200g SPS tank......

knew it! and yes I am feeding my reef addiction vicariously though your tank via this thread...

Anyone kick around the idea of TOTM yet???????

That is a true veteran for ya....haha. I don't know how you noticed that but you are correct.

Thank you guys for the vote of confidence BUT I have to be humble here and say that I could use some more growth. If and when it happens I want it to be at the peak of what this tank can be.

I just have so many nice pieces that are still small and I would love to highlight them as larger colonies.

Well in that case, I sincerely hope that the Mods have their eyes on the progress of your reef because it is truly an inspirational tank! Not only from the standpoint of the incredible collection of coral you have, but equally from the perspective of your solid reefing philosophy, which is most important in the hobby.

Just sharing a pic I took yesterday. It's one of my sunset millepora frags. Picture was taken out of the water (so I got a nice clear one) and the polyps are retracted. Hope you like.

Hey Tony. Its nice seeing people take an interest in the progress of my tank. Life has been ultra busy for me lately though with the birth of our second child on Oct.7th. Im managing to keep up on the tank but internet time and time to take pictures is lacking. Anyway rest assure things are going well. Patiently waiting for growth on a lot of my really nice yet smaller corals.

here is a picture i took just before the birth of my son to hold you over...

pearberry if your wondering

Congrats on the new addition Bro!!!

Congratulations on the birth of your 2nd child, yes I can imagine you'll be short on time. How old is your first child? Can you train the eldest to either help with the new baby or maybe clean the skimmer cup? :D Either way, please make sure this tank remains in the pristine conditions you've attained so far, all the livestock looks superb and its only a matter of time before you get totm.

Lovely photo, that acro looks very nice.

All the best,

Tony
