dvanacker's 200g SPS tank......

Absolutely inspiring Darryl!! corals, photography skills.. you name it.. Man I wish I lived closer!!!! My tank would be your redundancy! LOL...

youre very modest but dont blame it on the camera! THats a new one, most of us blame the camera for not showing true color. I imagine thats the case with yours as well. To see them in person must make for one awesome sight.

Nice sarmentosa! What's the difference in the Aussie species vs the Indo species sarmentosa? Is the peach and yellow birdsnest an ORA? It looks like their green tip orange birdsnest.

I have seen his aquarium in person 2 times. I have been lucky enough to by several frags from him. It is a real treat to see it in person. Just georgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone!!

Hi Darryl, your tank looking amazing. I must say every time I see pictures from your tank I have to go get a bucket to catch all the drool. May I ask what all you dose these days? Are you using the 2 part, ROX carbon and GFO HC from BRS?
I'm using BRS 2 part, ROX carbon and regular pellet GFO. As for additives....nothing really but I have begun to use some warner marine snow (similar to zeovits snow). I'm trying this to see if it will help me rid the cyano. I did this once before and it seemed to work...I was with out cyano for months.

looks like you have both the tank and the camera dialed in for the holidays - very nice work
are you keeping the bonsai lower in the tank?
The bonsai is about 2/3rds down but in between the 2 400w MH so its getting a decent amount of light.

thanks....To tell you the truth I really try to take pictures that representative of what I see.

Not sure of the difference....don't think I've seen an Indo sarmentosa....although I wouldnt doubt they have them. I'm sure they come in different colors. As fo the birdsnest...its was a mari-cultured piece I bought recently.

Thanks.... who is this?
:inlove: This is insane
Thanks....this one was actually a solid blue wild coral when I first bought it...it RTN'd and than sat as a brown blob in my tank for years...I almost threw it out several times.....but Im glad I didnt.

Dvanacker. Just finished reviewing your thread for the first time ... Funny that no matter how often you frequent this site there is always a diamond thread, or two, which seems to elude you ...

Im not going to sit here and type out the first string of complimentary adjectives that come to mind ... I feel that the conspicuous knowledge, dedication, and tedious work that went into achieving these results deserves a more well thought out compliment than just a couple simple adjectives.

Darryl, with all sincerity, your system is one of the finest privately owned examples of exemplary coral health Ive ever seen in my lifetime !

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, but your tank is amazing, the hard work is paying off in spades.

Your tank really is marvelous. I see a TOTM honor in your near future.
^ Plus 1 great looking tank, colors are out of this world.
Wow...such amazing compliments. You guys really give me the motivation to keep at it...thanks!!

I snapped two more today....well actually probably a dozen or so but these two are the best. :)

Very nice as always! Where did you get your sniperSPS bubblegum from? It looks great, I didn't know it was the snipersps version; from memory I've thought you had always just called it your "bubblegum" mille.

Dude if I were a burglar and reef hobbyist in one, I'd attempt to burgal your house just for the SPS corals! :D

Hells yeah. You have a very select seclection of sps in your tank. I am on the quest for more exotic colorfully sps. I am having to go online to find what I want. You are doing a spectacular job with your tank and it shows. My color is decent but yours is top notch.
