dyed

It sounds healthy so you're off to a good start. But the yellow dye could last as long as 6 months to a year. Could you get a better pic by chance? The one you gave is a little out of focus.

A Malu is a type of sebae.
Pic is still a bit blurry, and maybe try to get a shot of the foot.

was feeding it at the time. Also only camera around here now is my cell phone. Droped the digital into the aquarium sump a while back. If he is not attached I will pull him out of that little nook he is in and take a pic of his foot. I am not tryng to pester him tomuch in case he is a dyed sebae.

knowing how hard some sabaes are the wife is worried it is going to die. Sometimes she reads to much. sometimes she is right. came home and it is all shrivled up. She was worried. I just told her give it some time he will be good. About a hour later he is puffed up. She asked what was wrong with him. Duhhhh he was just expeling.

Well, it's still new for one, and two, they do close at night/open when lights are on, and sometimes close up a bit for whatever reason.
I would stop w/ silversides(not a fan of them)
I feed mysis(which is best for a new nem IMO) and scallop, and not very often, like once a month.
Pics are still tough to see, but sure looks like shape of Malu to me.

I Know this guy is not stinging anymore today also. just fed the fish in the tank some mysis shrimp floated down and landed on him. he did not make any attemt to latcvh on to it at all. I know his mouth is not as open as one would think as being sick. Goingto move him into my qt tank tonight and watch him.

im sorry to hear about your nem. a dyed nem is helped the same way you help a bleached nem, just keep params good and feed it good and it will heal but it looks like im a little late
