east side LFS

what are the decent LFS on the east side? I just moved here and live on the border between Cleveland Heights and East Cleveland, about a quarter mile from Coventry. I am trying to get a fix on a close decent store for random needs. I noticed there is a petland on Lee near the Cedar crossing, does anyone know if they carry salt stuff, and if so if it's decent? I know somebody on here lives in Little Italy, thought maybe he could give me some input if no one else.

Jurrasic aquatics is probably the closest thing really. They have some sw fish and supplies and are currently building coral displays and what not. For full out salt stores there is one near strongsville on 82 called aquatic technology and the great one in vermillion called Salty Critter. I am sure more people will chime in and let you know of more and give more details. Good luck and welcome to the area.

There are no decent LFS on the eastside. Its good to get to know Mike and Danielle in Parma, they own CoralShoppe.com, they arent an LFS, but they can order you pretty much whatever you want. Aside from them everything close is either junk or way overpriced, like Aquarium Adventure. Your best bet is either aquatic technology or Salty Critter, which are both a bit of a drive.

Cowcio lives in Little Italy, and gave me a good deal on liverock in the past. Hes got some pretty good looking zoos in his posession as well, hopefully he frags them soon and sells them to me :). Your best off getting to know the people on here well, as they can give you the best deals of all.

Yes, I do live in Little Italy and I collect fish equipment and knives in my spare bedroom... haha

I drive to Salty Critter in Vermillion or Phishy Business in Columbus (if I'm at my parents house). Those are the best in the state to my knowledge.

If there is anything that you need, feel free to PM me, I very well might have it. Otherwise, I would recommend taking a trip to Salty Critter. I've been meaning to get out there myself. Maybe we could carpool and split the gas money if there is something you are interested in.

My zoanthids have been suffering lately. I'm gone at least 3 days a week and my lighting timers have not been dedicated. It always seems that the more expensive ones poop out on me. Hopefully when I am home more this fall I can get these things in order and get some frags grown out for some of you guys.

I was VERY impressed with salty critter when we were there a few weeks ago. but I bought an acro frag there and now I see it is infested with redbugs. I have no other SPS in the tank, so it either came in on the frag, or the sand I got off of someone from the club, but seems more likely that it was already somewhat infested.

anyone else have this experience when getting frags from there? I am considering removing the frag from the tank, since I have no ther SPS at least in time the redbugs will starve and then the tank will be safe again for later.

Yes I know, I know, quarantine, but we just moved and frankly I really didn't intend to add much to the tank anyway, but it was a whim and now I wish I had avoided it altogether
