Tank Install

Tank Install

Well, the tank is going on the stand today. WOOOHOOO.
Pictures of big burly men straining their backs to follow.

Party time Alan ! Hopefully the tractor trailer will arrive this evening with my tank....we should just throw a big neighborhood tank party!!

Unfortunately, not all will be big and burly, but several are young and stupid (me included) and will pick up anything regardless of the consequences to our backs. :)

Jeff -
You and Alan "getting tanked"....Where's the video camera............?
How much will you have to pay Alan for his help? I will bet it will be payed in corals HA!!!!

What's the matter? No big, burly girls available? :D
Tom
I don't know any big burly girls (I had a sheltered upbringing). :p

Waterkeeper- Alan lives in North Carolina. The local definition for
Big burly girls = 1. Scots in kilt with no interest in sheep or-
2. Guys that like to play "dress up" and wear lip-
stick....

Surely neither would be Alan's friends.......?

Waterkeeper:
Welcome to the club.
As I am fully a "Scot" - I feel authorized to discuss such areas of pride/embarrasment/humor.
To make my point - tho a 100% Scotman - my granparents were at the (Jewish) temple every Fri. evening..........
Now - can you see where a lad might get a certain twist in his knickers/ humor genes? And of course possibly sqeak when walks from being so "tight"???
All in fun - if you took it seriously - you have my my heartfelt apologies ( for only being half Scot <GGG>).

T

I know how that goes. My family uses Stewart, the Irish spelling, as using Stuart was hazardous to one's health in Scotland in the 14-15th century. I guess they figured it was smarter to switch than fight. ;)

Imagine the Jew/Scot mix....?
I mean really - can you think of a more odd mix?
You should see family reunions....Now THAT is Americas Funniest Home video..........

And then we have poor Alan....an English Rebel......good story there I will bet....What did he do to get kicked out of England???

Tank on the stand! ... Now that's tangible progress! Not all this stand build, plumbing and electrical stuff we've been reading about! ;)

That's excellent .... Congratulations!

I'll have you know I'm half Scottish. ;)
Tom
Does that mean you turn your back and raise your kilt to show your displeasure?
BTW which half?? :D

I refused to curtsy to the queen (or was it a bow). At least I didn't turn my back and raise my kilt (ala Braveheart). WaterKeeper probably would have.

Yes Bax, but will it hold water?

:D

Tom

:eek2: :eek2: Go to the bathroom right now and wash your mouth out with soap.

I just hope are next post from Alan is not about how he needed to run out to Lowes and buy a wet vac. :D

I have faith and bet the tank is looking good tomorrow.

Tank is on the stand. :bounce3: :bounce1: :bounce2:
I took lots of photos of the (not so burly) crew installing it (thanks Drew and crew). :p
I took about half an hour from the time it was wheeled out of the garage on the two furniture dollies until it was in its final resting place.
Stay tuned.
