I have a ? I have an ER8-2 with sedra 5000 anyways if I do a recirc mod on it would I beable to still upgrade the pump to a newer replacement later if I desire better performance?

Or should I just get the newer pump then do the mod? I just don't want to buy a new skimmer when I have a perfect 8in dia 24in tall body that I know would kick but with a 1260 or comparable.

TIA

How come the MSRP is lower than the selling price to customers? Isn't that backwards? Maybe it's a glitch.

If you cut and paste the price into word, you will see that they are actually the same price. The slash through the MSRP causes a bit of an optical illusion:)

Thanks for the feedback. I went through and removed all the SRP prices so just the actual purchase price shows. Do you think the "RED: color of the prices is too hard to read?

LMK- :)

BTW I thought I might post the new MAP Prices for the RS Series skimmers here. They will officially be available online through Marine Depot and Premium Aquatics as of July 15th. They are as follows:

RS80 $248
RS100 $288
RS135 $328
RS180 $438
RS250 $478

I think if you compare these to legitimate online dealers selling ASM skimmers you will not see much of a difference!! Your local retailers allready have access to the product at these prices so if you are ready to buy, check your LFS. :)

Not much here. Always reading the thread, hardly posting. I sent an e-mail over the other day, when you can shoot me back one. Thanks!

Ahh, wasn't sure if this was you or René I was speaking to, HA! I e-mailed the marketing address. I am sure he got it, just probably busy. I know he has been working on a bunch of things for me. Thanks again for the follow-up.

Anyone else?

clkwrk,

I would wait as the pump dimensions are probably different and you will have a hard time getting things to fit and may have to use flex hose which may in turn decrease the performance of the new pump.
