Fauchea algae removal

Hi, i love macro algaes and encourage them in my tank but i've began to see a spread of fauchea and i won't to nip in the bud. I know it will die if you dip it in ro but the rockwork is two columns and i can't get it out.
I don't mind a little but it slowly producing rosettes around the base of seriatoporas and my algae blenny and tailspot aren't interested.
The tanks a 2ft cube so tangs are out but open to other ideas.

TIA

I'm going to try a couple of emerald crabs first as i think they are neat and was going to add them anyway. I also stripped as much out as i could even though i know manual removal is pretty useless but have started reading the very interesting link Brandon forwarded, which looks like with a little work it might be the answer. Just trying the hands off way first as it is a minor problem at the moment.
