Hey upstate reefers, I thought I would post some stuff about my "new" and hopefully improved system. So the display is a 120 gallon lite by a 3 ft 6 bulb ATI T-5 fixture, water flow by a Vertex Mocean oscillating wave module (the over flow has been modified so that there is two 1 in drain pipes). Frag tank is a 75 gallon lite by a 4 ft 4 bulb T-5 fixture (don't know the brand but it uses work horse ballasts). The sump is two 2 ft acrylic cubes conected by a 2 in buckhead, the 1st cube has the skimmer in it, a bubble magus nac66, and a mj900 pumping to 2 phosban reactors, 1st one has carbon and the 2nd with GFO. The 2nd cube is a refugium lite by a 65 CF bulb, not right now mostly has softy frags. The turn pump is an Iwaki 100, which has a T into so that it pumps in the display and the frag tank.
Pics to follow.

Serious LPS there I really like the top right side. How many of the torches do you consider to be distinct phenotypes?

coralmania!

lots of nice. Do the Tangs ever bother any of the corals?
What's the green wrasse.... is the aquarium covered?

the green wrasse is a Halichoeres chloropterus (green wrasse) no the tank is not covered I know I am running a risk but I really like the ATI fixture and the look. May tangs have never bother the corals (knock on wood), I have had the purple seen I started the hobby, I have had the hippo for 4 years now.

5380: I don't really now what you mean by phenotypes, sorry.
thanks everyone for the nice comments, I only wish I was better at taking pics

Looks good mikey I see you''ve been holding out haha who would have known all that was in your basement

it was down there for almost 3 months, I am just really happy I only lost one fish, a dwarf lion, and a few corals, like less than 5. I can't wait for the tank to settle in so i can put sps back into the system. the Vertex Mocean does a great job, I don't know why they aren't making them anymore. the left side of the tank that is more open has crazzy flow.

Just wanted to let you know that a purple torch that I got from you right before the syracuse swap has grown and is changing a bit. THe longer the tentacles get, the more bulbus the tips get, and a few of them seem to have multiple bulbs on them. they're really cool looking. And I just got a par38 LED for christmas and under that light, the purple torch is actually GREEN! It quickly became one of my top 3 favorite corals! Thanks again!
